Abstract

In this paper we present some new existence results for a singular semipositone Dirichlet boundary value problem for second order three-point differential equations by using the upper and lower solutions method and the fixed point theorem in cones.

Abstract

The singular boundary value problem {u^''+q(t)g(t,u,u^')=0,t@?(0,1),@h@?(0,1),@c@?(0,1]u(0)=0,u(1)=@cu(@h), is studied in this paper.The singularity may appear at t=0 and the function g may be superlinear at u=~ and change sign. The existence of solutions is obtained via an upper and lower solutions method.
