Abstract: This paper is concerned with the state constrained optimal control problems of a fractional diffusion equation in a bounded domain. The fractional time derivative is considered in the Riemann–Liouville sense. Under a Slater type condition we prove the existence a Lagrange multiplier and a decoupled optimality system. Abstract: In this paper, a class of second-order nonlinear impulsive integro-differential equations of mixed type whose principle is time-varying generating operators with unbounded perturbation on Banach spaces is considered. Discussing the perturbation of time-varying operator matrix and constructing corresponding the evolution system generated by operator matrix, we introduce the reasonable mild solution of second-order nonlinear impulsive integro-differential equations of mixed type and prove the existence of mild solutions. The existence of optimal controls for a Lagrange problem of systems governed by the second-order nonlinear impulsive integro-equations of mixed type is also presented. Abstract: In this paper, optimal control for stochastic nonlinear singular system with quadratic performance is obtained using neural networks. The goal is to provide optimal control with reduced calculus effort by comparing the solutions of the matrix Riccati differential equation (MRDE) obtained from the well-known traditional Runge–Kutta (RK) method and nontraditional neural network method. To obtain the optimal control, the solution of MRDE is computed by feedforward neural network (FFNN). The accuracy of the solution of the neural network approach to the problem is qualitatively better. The advantage of the proposed approach is that, once the network is trained, it allows instantaneous evaluation of solution at any desired number of points spending negligible computing time and memory. The computation time of the proposed method is shorter than the traditional RK method. An illustrative numerical example is presented for the proposed method. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

This paper considers an infinite-horizon optimal tracking control problem for a class of large-scale interconnected systems with state time-delays. By using the successive approximation approach, two iteration sequences of vector differential equations are constructed. Meanwhile the large-scale interconnected system is decomposed into finite decoupled subsystems. The existence and uniqueness of the optimal solution is proved, as well as the convergence of the solution sequence. By finite iterations of the solution sequence, a suboptimal tracking control law is obtained. A reduced-order reference input observer is designed to make the feedforward term of the optimal tracking control law physically realizable. A numerical example shows that the presented algorithm is effective and easy to implement. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

In this paper, we consider the optimal feedback control problems of a system governed by strongly nonlinear impulsive differential equations which contains monotone operators and nonlinear nonmonotone perturbations.
