This article discusses different surgical techniques for the treatment of rectovaginal fistula. The video vignette demonstrates two cases: one involving a modified LIFT procedure and the other involving a Martius flap procedure. The choice of technique depends on the anatomical characteristics determined by clinical findings and imaging. The authors conclude that the modified LIFT procedure is the procedure of choice for patients with a linear fistula tract, preserved anatomical muscles, and no previous vaginal delivery, while the Martius flap procedure should be used in cases of recurrence. Both techniques have shown good results. [Extracted from the article]
