The rapid proliferation of the Internet of Things (IoT) has led to a significant surge in interconnected devices across diverse domains, ranging from smart homes and healthcare systems to industrial automation and smart cities. However, this exponential growth has exposed IoT devices to a plethora of cyber threats, including illegal access, data breaches, and malicious attacks, primarily due to their inherent limitations in terms of network capabilities, computational power, and memory. To combat these security challenges and ensure the safety of IoT ecosystems, the development of effective intrusion detection systems has become imperative. Such systems play a crucial role in detecting and preventing unauthorized activities within IoT networks. In this context, this article presents a pioneering approach called DeepLG SecNet, which leverages a combination of deep learning techniques, including Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM), gated Secure Network (SecNet), and Crossover Chaos Game Optimization (CCGO), to fortify IoT devices against unauthorized access and potential threats. To validate the efficacy of the proposed DeepLG SecNet method, various samples were collected from the BoT-IoT dataset and the NSL-KDD dataset. Performance evaluation was conducted using essential metrics to assess the model's detection capabilities in an IoT intrusion context. The experimental analysis yielded promising results, highlighting the effectiveness of the DeepLG SecNet method in intrusion detection for IoT environments. Specifically, DeepLG SecNet outperformed existing methods, demonstrating higher accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score in safeguarding IoT systems from potential security breaches. In many web services systems, need extended confirmation of confidential information including access control policies, which are cryptographically certified for secure data exchanges in wireless sensor networks. The domination set in graph theory enriches many applications in the field of networks. One of the application with the novel procedure named school bus routing approach is proposed, which can coordinate the characteristics of the system, with the goal of detection of denial of service attacks. This strategy is employed that is most powerful adequate to schedule the sensor nodes in such a route, to the point that it monitors the network traffic for identification of source of attack and for the denial of service provision to the users. The throughput, packet loss ratio and packet delivery results were simulated and analyzed in the network based on the implementation of proposed routing approach. This paper presents a review of current denial of service (DoS) attack and defence concepts, from a theoretical ad practical point of view. Seriousness of DoS attacks is tangible and they present one of the most significant threats to assurance of dependable and secure information systems, which is growing in importance. Rapid development of new and increasingly sophisticated attacks requires resourcefulness in designing and implementing reliable defences. We focus on providing a both fresh and relevant state of art reference with included different perspectives, such as economic DoS (EDoS) or offensive countermeasures in the cyber space. Considering the elaborated DoS mechanisms and state of art review, our considerations of main challenges are discussed. Directions are proposed for future research, considered required in defending against the DoS threat, which is evolving into a potentially major disruptive factor for global security models on all levels. Cloud Federation is an emerging computing model where multiple resources from independent Cloud providers are leveraged to create large-scale distributed virtual computing clusters, operating as into a single Cloud organization. This model enables the implementation of environmental diversity for Cloud applications, and overcomes the provisioning and scalability limits of a single Cloud, by introducing minimal additional cost for the Cloud consumer. In such a scenario, it is necessary to leverage on specific networking technologies that enable the effective support of inter-Cloud communication services between Cloud providers. This paper proposes an interconnection solution for Cloud federations based on publish/subscribe services. Moreover, we discuss some fundamental concerns needed to satisfy the inter-Cloud communication requirements in terms of reliability and availability.
