Abstract

The article discusses a study conducted to investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of six weeks of home-based treadmill training in people with mild Parkinson's disease. Exercise intensity, fatigue, muscle soreness and adverse events of patients were recorded. The results revealed that semi-supervised home-based treadmill training is a feasible and safe form of exercise for people with mild Parkinson's disease; however it does not improve their walking capacity.
