Abstract

An NHC-stabilized (chlorogermyl)metallogermylene [Cp-(CO)3 WGe{GeCl(Mes)2}(MeIiPr)] (NHC: N-heterocyclic carbene, MeIiPr: 1,3-diisopropyl-4,5-dimethylimidazol-2-ylidene, Mes: mesityl) was synthesized by the reaction of [Na(dme)2]-[CpW(CO)3] (dme: 1,2-dimethoxyethane) with (chlorogermyl)-chlorogermylene [GeCl{GeCl(Mes)2}(MeIiPr)].
