Abstract

This article discusses on the role of heating furnaces in modern oil-refining and petrochemical units. It comprises for more than 50 percent of the total power consumed and more than 50 percent of harmful emissions into the atmosphere. In recent years, old heating furnaces have been replaced by new modern designs in almost all oil refineries in Russia.
