An efficient stereospecific method to prepare (E)‐ and (Z)‐configurated title compounds is reported.

An interesting synthesis of 2‐aryl‐substituted thiophenes (III) is achieved through coupling of the potassium carboxylate (I) with aryl halides, especially bromides.

The homogeneous selective catalytic diamination of primary and secondary diols with ammonia gives the corresponding diamines in high yields.

The structures of Ce4I6CN and disordered Ce6I9C2N phases are determined by single crystal XRD, HRTEM, and SAED.

Thin films of GeSb2Te4and Ge2Sb2Te4are deposited on inert substrates by dc magnetron sputtering from stoichiometric compound targets and characterized by powder XRD and HRTEM.

The title reaction is also applicable to unsymmetrical secondary amines.

Single crystals of the title compound are prepared by reaction of an equimolar mixture of CuO, V2O5, and Ba(OH)2·8H2O in a CsOH flux (silver source: Ag container 1.

[C13H28N2] 5Cu2.1In17.9S33 ·17H2O is synthesized from a mixture of CuS, In, S, 4,4′‐trimethylenedipiperidine, H2O, and ethyleneglycol (autoclave, 190 °C, 5 d, <90% yield) and used as a precursor for the preparation of the title film by pulsed laser deposition.

The new title compounds are prepared by reactions of stoichiometric mixtures of the elements (1100 °C for 3 d) followed by annealing at 1300—1500 °C for 48—72 h.

The homogeneously catalyzed amination of secondary and benzylic alcohols proceeds under ammonia atmosphere and Ru3(CO)12—CataCXium PCy catalysis without the need for an additional hydrogen source.

Two new subnitrides in the title system and three Li—In—Ba intermetallic phases are characterized by single crystal XRD and TEM.

The complex generated from CuI and cis‐1,2‐cyclohexanediol is highly efficient for the coupling of various thiols with vinyl, aryl, and heteroaryl iodides and bromides.
