Abstract

In this study, Yb immobilized NaY zeolite catalyst (Yb/NaY) was obtained by a hydrothermal method and characterized by XRD, BET, FT-IR, ICP-AES, and NH 3 -TPD. The catalyst displayed good catalytic activity when applied to the synthesis of quinoxalines via condensation of α-hydroxyketones with 1,2-diamines, and could be reused several times without any loss of catalytic activity.

Abstract

A concise total synthesis of przewalskin B was accomplished from readily available diene 7. Key features of the synthesis involved a Diels-Alder reaction to install the A ring, a Claisen-Johnson rearrangement to establish the spiro-quaternary center, and a ring-closing metathesis (RCM) of a sterically crowded system to construct the cyclic enone moiety.

Abstract

As revealed by single crystal XRD the molecular hybrid complexes (IIIa, b) crystallize in the orthorhombic space group Pnnm with Z = 2 and exhibit the same three-dimensional hydrogen-bonded networks with large one-dimensional channels filled with [PMo12O40]3- anions which are self-assembled into poly-Keggin-anion chains.

Abstract

Compounds (IIIa) and (IIIb) crystallize in the orthorhombic space group Pnnm with Z = 2 (single crystal XRD) and exhibit exactly the same three-dimensional supramolecular framework built from non-covalent interactions between isonicotinic acid N-oxide (HINO) molecules, [M(H2O)8]2+ and H+(H2O)2.5 clusters, and [PMo12O40]3- anions which self-assemble into poly-Keggin-anion chains.

Abstract

Bioactivity-directed fractionation led to the isolation of two new 7-dehydroaporphine alkaloids, 7-hydroxy-dehydrothalicsimidine (1) and 7-formyl-dehydrothalicsimidine (2), along with the five known alkaloids, thalicsimidine (3), norpurpureine (4), N-methyllaurotetanine (5), lirinidine (6) and N-methylasimilobine (7), from the leaves of Annona purpurea. Structural elucidation of these compounds was established by mass and spectroscopic analyses. Among them, 1, 3, 4, 6 and 7 exhibited significant inhibition of collagen, arachidonic acid and platelet activating factor-induced platelet aggregation; 1 also showed inhibition against thrombin-induced platelet aggregation.
