Single-phase γ-Co2NiGa nanoparticles (NPs) are prepared by ultrasonication of a nearly stoichiometric MeOH dispersion of CoCl2, Ni(NO3)2, and Ga(NO3)3 hydrates to which colloidal silica is given followed by drying and annealing the resultant solid under H2 (1123 K, 2 h). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
