We provide new records of Corythomantis greeningi from southeastern Brazil, extending its southernmost distribution. The new records of C. greeningi are from an area of the Cerrado biome, in the State of Minas Gerais.

Melanophryniscus moreirae is recorded from a fifth locality. A specimen was collected in Serra do Papagaio, municipality of Alagoa, Minas Gerais, Brazil, 18 km southeast from the nearest previous record in Aiuruoca. This new record fills a gap of about 32 km in the distribution of the species, between Itamonte and Aiuruoca.

We provide a new record for Bokermannohyla sazimai from state of Minas Gerais and present a map representing its distribution. The new record from municipality of Uberlândia represents a distribution extension of 70 km western from the closest locality where it was previously known.

(Cope, 1862) (Figures 1; 2), is one of the most widespread South American skinks, being primarily distributed south of the Amazonian region in Brazil and Bolivia, southwards to Argentina and Paraguay (Cei 1993). This species is typically associated to the Cerrado and Chaco biomes (Vanzolini 1988; Colli et al. 2002), but also occurs, to some extent, within the Atlantic Forest domain (Sazima and Haddad 1992; Vrcibradic et al. 2006). It is widely distributed within the Brazilian territory, having been recorded in Rio Grande do Sul, Parana, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goias, the Federal District, Mato Grosso, Rondonia, Tocantins, Piaui, and Para (Vrcibradic et al. 2006 and included references). We provide the first record of Rhinella inopina in the state of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil, in municipalities of Bonito de Minas and Januária. It is also the species southernmost record, extending its known geographic distribution in about 170 and 210 km respectively southeastward its closest previously record, in municipality of Sítio d'Abadia, State of Goiás, Central Brazil.

This study presents the first record of the recently-described Lime Treefrog Sphaenorhynchus botocudo Caramaschi, Almeida, and Gasparini, 2009 in the state of Bahia, and the first record out of its type locality.

In this article we report two new records of Trachycephalus mambaiensis for the state of Minas Gerais and present a map which represents the known distribution of this species. The record of T. mambaiensis from municipalities of Bonito de Minas and Januária, state of Minas Gerais represents a distribution extension of 190 km southern from the type locality, at the municipality of Mambaí, state of Goiás.

Herein, we report new records of the treefrogs Dendropsophus anceps and Itapotihyla langsdorffii for the state of Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil. Both species are known from several localities in the Atlantic Rainforest domain, but their presence in state of Minas Gerais is restricted to few localities. The present records reinforce the importance of field surveys for improving the knowledge about the geographic distribution and conservation status of Brazilian amphibians.

We provide the first record of Leptodactylus cupreus out of its type locality, as well the first record of this species in the State of Espírito Santo, southeastern Brazil. The record of Leptodactylus cupreus from municipality Santa Teresa extends in approximately 220 km to the northeastern of its geographic distribution and establishes the inferior limit of 800 m in its altitudinal distribution in the Serra da Mantiqueira.

This work provides records of Scinax centralis from municipalities of Campo Alegre de Goiás and Orizona, state of Goiás, Brazil. Those records represent, respectively, a southeast range extension of ca. 30 Km east and ca. 60 Km southeast from the previously known locality of Ipameri. All known populations of S. centralis remain restricted to the Paranaíba River basin, and with exception of Orizona, all localities from where the species is known to occur are inside priority areas for conservation of biodiversity in Cerrado and Pantanal.

The South American chelid genus Platemys includes only one species, Platemys platycephala (Schneider 1792), characterized by small size (less than 18 cm carapace length), a very flat carapace with a preeminent vertebral groove, and a head that is orange-brown colored dorsally (Pritchard and Trebbau 1984; Ernst 1987; Ernst and Barbour 1989). The species presents two subspecies: Platemys platycephala platycephala (Schneider 1792) and Platemys platycephala melanonota Ernst 1984 (Turtle Taxonomy Working Group 2007). Platemys p. melanonota, a darker subspecies, is found in Peru and Ecuador while Platemys p. platycephala is found in the Guianas, Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil and Bolivia (Ernst 1983; 1987; Pritchard and Trebbau 1984).

Both localities are placed within the Serra da Mantiqueira mountain range, southeastern Brazil.
