Heat transmission is inevitable in industrial and manufacturing processes. The hybrid nanofluid with its advanced thermal exponent due to the two-part nanoparticle which helps to boost the thermal transfer capacity of standard nanofluids to achieve it. The flow and thermal transference properties of hybrid nanofluid of such kind via a slippery surface has investigated in this study. The pore mediums, heat source, viscous dissipation, thermal conducting variants, and thermal radiative impacts were explored. The controlled equations are solved using the finite difference numerical methodology. The hybrid Tangent hyperbolic nanofluid, which is made up of viscous non-Newtonian fluid EG (ethylene glycol) and two types of nano-solid particles of copper (Cu) and titanium dioxide (TiO2) has been studied. It's worth noting that, when compared to the conventional nanofluid (Cu-EG), the heat transfer level of TiO2–Cu/EG hybrid combo has been continuously increased. The thermal efficiency of TiO2–Cu/EG over Cu-EG is realized with a least of 1.4% and supreme of 3.3%. By integration of nanoparticles ratio, the entropy system is enlarged due to fractional size, radiative variant, thermal conductance and the Weissenberg number.

In this paper, entropy generation effect on MHD boundary layer flow of hybrid nano-liquid with non-uniform viscosity near the lower stagnation region of heated sphere is examined. Hybrid nano-liquid is an innovative class of thermal liquids based nanotechnology and essentially it has been validated to enhance the energy conversion process competence. The flow of C H 3 O H liquid is diluted by adding alloy nanoparticles (a class of alumina) and their oxides are absolutely proficient to deflate the empirical scientific concerns related to quicker thermal transport. Governing PDEs are simplified and renovated into systems of ODEs and numerical solutions are executed by RK-4 based shooting scheme. We have also brought under discussion the impact of distinct substantial physical parameters of problem. A careful analysis discloses that thermal transfer rate of nano-liquid is immensely magnificent as compare to the mono nano-liquid. Film cooling flow is important for gas turbine thermal protection. But it is difficult to predict the film cooling flow performances. The aim of this paper is to modeling the film cooling flow of a turbine vane with endwall film cooling, showerhead film cooling, and pressure/suction side film cooling simultaneously. Developing a method by adding endwall film cooling domain, the endwall film cooling flow can be simulated by CFD. This method can include heat transfer between flow and solid and capture the coolant details in the entering tubes. The conjugate heat transfer (CHT) method was utilized for fluid-solid thermal transfer at interfaces. The results show that the highest film overall effectiveness occurred immediately downstream the holes. The distribution of overall effectiveness is relatively homogenous in the zones between holes row in the leading edge no matter considering solid conduction. Without solid thermal transfer, better lateral coverage downstream the holes can form due to higher density ratio. The overall effectiveness and temperature field are affected by solid conduction, but the aerodynamic performance keeps consistent. Single row of holes in endwall cannot form good coverage in the lateral direction, but the showerhead film cooling configuration can form a preferable coverage layer.

Owing to their high thermal transfer rates, nanofluids gain attentions of the researchers and scientists. They have significant industrial and technological implementations in everyday life. A novel category of nanofluid, “hybrid nanofluid,” has recently been developed to further enhance the heat transfer rate. This article flashes on the magnetohydrodynamic flow of engine oil (base fluid) with hybrid nanoparticles ( M W C N T − M o S 4 ) and ( S W C N T − A g ) over a vertical stretching cylinder. Moreover, the impacts of viscous dissipation and thermal radiation are also taken into account. Tiwari and Das nanofluid model with latest thermo physical characteristics and features of hybrid nanofluid is considered to formulate the physical problem. Further, contributions of numerous shape-factors are incorporated. The system of partial differential equations of the current model is converted into system of ordinary differential equations by adopting the suitable similarity practice. A bvp4c solver (shooting method) via MATLAB is employed to numerically compute findings of converted system. The significance of prominent parameters for subjective flow fields is investigated and elaborated through figures and charts. Temperature distribution enhances for larger values of melting parameter and porosity variable. Furthermore, larger temperature ratio parameter improved the temperature field. It is also analyzed that the larger values of porosity variable slow down the flow of fluid while enhances the temperature profile. Heat transfer depict retardation against the uplifting values of volume fraction. The two categories of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) namely, single-walled (SWCNTs) and multi-walled (MWCNTs) carbon nanotubes are considered for saturation in base fluid.

In this study, the influence of the inclination angle was analyzed on the thermal behavior of PCM in the cavity filled with copper foam fins. Twelve inclination angles from 0° to 360° were studied for the thermal storage unit, while the two-temperature equation thermal transfer model was built. The liquid fraction, the temperature response rate, and the average heat flow were employed as evaluation parameters. Numerical results displayed the inclination angle had the great influence on the PCM thermal performance and by optimizing the inclination angle, the whole phase-change time was shortened by 43.16% with the inclination angle from 0° to 180°. In melting and freezing processes, the inclination angle had the opposite rules and affected the thermal performance difference obviously. With the inclination angle from 0° to 180°, the difference values were reduced from 17904s, 712 w/m2 and 0.00867 °C/s to 1709s, 31 w/m2 and 0.00051 °C/s for full phase-change time, the average heat flow and temperature response rate, respectively. And the optimum inclination angle was 180° in the view of a melting and freezing period and the reasonable inclination angle could be selected according to thermal storage and release rules in the engineering application.
