The report presents examples of successful cases of autotransplantation of ectopic teeth as donor in the treatment of clinically missing maxillary anterior teeth in young patients. The transplanted teeth were either severely ectopic, inverted, rotated or in an unfavourable position that they are commonly sacrificed as a result. Ectopic eruption is a developmental disturbance in which the tooth fails to follow its normal eruption pathway. Ectopic eruption of the second molar is relatively rare. This paper presents the case of thirteen-year-old male with an ectopic mandibular second permanent molar. The condition was corrected with surgical exposure and placement of elastic separators. This case report lays emphasis on the practice of basic methods to obtain acceptable results rather than extensive surgical or orthodontic corrections. Rothmund-Thomson syndrome (RTS) is an extremely rare genetic condition exhibiting some dermatological, craniofacial, ophthalmological, and central nervous system abnormalities. It has an autosomal, recessive inheritance and its signs begin at childhood. Essential dermatological alteration is poikilodermatosis. A large head with an frontal bossing and broad low nasal bridge has been described in patients with RTS. Bilateral juvenile cataract is a characteristic finding of patients with RTS. Most of the patients have beenmarkedly short and the growth retardation has been proportionate. Mental retardation is a rare condition. An 11-year-old girl who had been previously diagnosed with RTS was consulted with a chief complaint of delaying in tooth eruption. Intraoral examination revealed median rhomboid glossitis in addition to hyperkeratotic tongue. The term odontogenic keratocyst was first used by Philipsen in the year 1956. The lesion was renamed by him as keratocystic odontogenic tumor (KCOT) and reclassified as odontogenic neoplasm in theWorld Health Organization's 2005 edition that occurs commonly in the jaws having a predilection for the angle and ascending ramus of mandible. In contrast, KCOTs arising in the maxillary premolar region are relatively rare. Location of ectopic tooth in a nondentate area like the maxillary antrum is rare. A17-year-oldboy, with one year history of recurrent right facial swelling and radiographic finding of a maxillary third molar tooth located at the posterior wall of the maxillary antrum, is presented. Under endotracheal intubation, the tooth was extracted through a Caldwell-Luc antrostomy approach and patient had an uneventful recovery and has been symptom free for eight months. Ectopic tooth in the maxillary antrum is rare and is commonest with maxillary third molar. It may be symptomless but is more commonly associated with inflammatory symptoms. The treatment of choice is surgical excision which is mostly carried out with Caldwell-Luc approach, even though endoscopic approach is being reported. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Teratoma consists of tissues derived from all the three germ layers, and there may be presence of appendages as a representation of these germ layers as well. Teratomas of the ovary are known to occur in a fairly large number of women. These may be present clinically at amuch later stage, permitting a limited treatment plan. Newer diagnostic techniques are always welcome in identifying these lesions.
