The article presents information on several changes in Canada's clothing market due to trade liberalization since 1989. After the Free Trade Agreement between Canada and the U.S., there was a remarkable increase in clothing exports from Canada to the U.S. After the lifting of quotas for all World Trade Organization member countries during 1995-2002, there had been a considerable increase in clothing imports by China from the Canadian cloth market.
