Abstract

The article provides an overview of Los Angeles Law Library's collection of California, federal and other domestic law and the evolution of the role of the library and public law libraries in general. Topics discussed include the library's collection adhering to the standards of the American Library Association and the American Association of Law Libraries, selective depository for California government documents and collection of historical materials.
