The aims of this paper are to suggest an analytic rating scale of the textual production of the discourse genre interview and discuss the pedagogical implications of its use in the promotion of learning. The perspective assumed is supported by the understanding of (a) the use of language as action (Clark, 2000), (b) discourse genres as a social construction to act in the world (Bakhtin, 2003; Volochinov, 2017) and (c) writing as social practice (Kleiman, 1995). Based on the criteria suggested by Simões et al. (2012), namely, purpose of the text, interlocution, text organization, content search, use of linguistic resources, review and finalization and response to the texts read, an analytic rating scale (Weigle, 2002) was created as a way of guiding the (re)writing process of the interviews conducted by high school students from a Federal Institute (Vial; Kanitz, 2022). The purpose of doing so is that students get to know the academic opportunities available in their school and share such information with the school community. The suggested rating scale can be used to guide students in the production of different versions of their texts, observing linguistic and discursive aspects to create the intended meaning, and to facilitate the elaboration of rewriting guidelines, both by the teacher and by the student. CRITICAL literacy , *WOMEN authors , *BLACK women , *SEXISM , *CRITICAL analysis , *READING comprehension - Abstract
This article aims to present a critical discursive analysis of an experience in a school with an emphasis on possibilities and potentialities of critical reading by black women writers. From this, we seek to discuss a critical literacy practice aimed at raising awareness about gender and intersectional issues, such as race and class. Based on theoretical-methodological perspectives from critical discourse studies, studies on gender and (de)coloniality and the ethnographic and collaborative research approach, this paper analyzes representations of a reading and debate cicle held in 2017 in an Elementary School located in Ceilândia-Federal District (DF). The analysis presented here indicates as a possible contribution of the reading of literature produced by black women writers, in the school context, the promotion of practices of contestation against hegemonizing and colonial discourses of gender and race, with the potential to de-legitimize racist and sexist ideologies. - Abstract
This paper aims to reflect on the symbolic statute of the body and its significant materiality, considering its (inter)relation with memory and language. With this purpose, a possible interrelation between Eugène Delacroix's painting, "La liberté guidant le people", and Elisa Riemer's poster of the 2nd Marcha das Vadias (SlutWalk), which occurred in the city of Maringá, in the state of Paraná, Brazil, was analyzed. The body was found to be a significant and historical materiality registered in a memory network, sometimes being absorbed by this network, sometimes rupturing with it. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

- Abstract
This paper aims to explain the discursive and stylistic marks on Gabito Nunes's chronicles, an author who was consecrated through the Internet, in order to understand what makes his writing style unique, giving him prestige in the web. Based on the theoretical and methodological support of the French school of Discourse Analysis, especially on the concepts developed by Maingueneau, we reflect about the notions of authorship and style, as well as how these concepts affect communication at the present time, which is understood as an era of multimedia convergence. TRANSLATING of English language , *DISCOURSE , *THEMATIC approach in education , *COMMUNICATION in education , *MATHEMATICAL models - Abstract
This paper deals with the discourse of scientific popularization, discussing if it would be a translation, a reformulation or a transformation of scientific discourse. Making use of the communication contract model from Semiolingustics, we claim that the discourse of scientific popularization depends on the conditions of the communicative situation in with it emerges. In the media, this discourse would not be a translation, but a construction dependent on the mediatic mise-en-scéne processes. The discourse of scientific mediatisation (DSM) tends to be explicative (didactic discourse) and to present its own captivation strategies (mediatic discourse). After presenting the characteristics of science mediatisarion contract, we assert that DSM produces a rupture in relation to scientific discourse. That discourse is subordinated to four types of discursive restrictions: visibility, legibility, seriousness and emotionality, which provide guidance on discourse organization modes, textual and paratextual composition, selection and thematic organization. - Abstract
The aim of this text is to put the definition of Open Educational Resources (OER, in English) into discussion, through a sequence of posts in the group Recursos Educacionais Abertos, from Facebook, from December 06th to 14th, 2015. Through the semiotic tensive tools, we propose a discursive analysis of the four topics of questions and answers that organize the posts. In dialogue, we present some views about OER as contribution to the construction of the concept. This paper is subscribed, then, between the discourse on the definition and the definitions found in the literature, being also an attempt to find the limits and possibilities on the OER. LANGUAGE ability , *THEORY of knowledge , *INTERACTIONISM (Philosophy) , *KNOWLEDGE management , *DISCOURSE - Abstract
Assuming that language plays a main role in the development of the individual throughout life, the aim of this paper is to reflect on the mechanisms which upgrade the textual and linguistic construction of knowledge. To do this, I have chosen the Socio-Discursive Interactionism (SDI) theoretical and epistemological perspective. I will focus specifically on the analysis of the mental operations that underlie the forms of knowledge organization and the way these operations are linguistically and textually formed. Based on the positioning of Benveniste, Weinrich and Genette, such operations in the SDI framework are named as types of discourse and are related to two discursive domains: narrating (the temporal coordinates of language action match those verbalised in the text) and exposing (the two coordinates have no match between them). Using a qualitative and interpretative method, the textual analysis will focus on two memorialistic texts, produced in different contexts: (i) Memórias da minha vida (Memoirs of my life), an unpublished text, written by João Azenha when he was 76/77 years old, between 2006 and 2007, limited to household activity; (ii) As pequenas memórias (The small memories), a text written by José Saramago, in the context of literary and household activities and published in Portugal in 2006 by Caminho. Its aims are to analyse the specific linguistic configurations of the discourse types in texts which adopt the textual genre memoirs and analyse the way the discourse types link to the different types of reasoning. This work will enable us to achieve two conclusions. The first is that, in the case of the memoirs genre, the types of discourse take on particular aspects at the level of geneologically determined linguistic units. The second is that the types of reasoning, being indissociable from the discourse types, in the memories genre, are informed not only by formal logic, but also by practical and experiential knowledge. - Abstract
Identifications like travesty, transsexual, transgender, g0y characterize "others" who don't follow the heteronormative conception about sexual and gender identities. They constitute subversive performativities as well as political actions that denaturalize the binary, hierarchical and attributive matrix. This motivates the development of Queer researches along critical and discursive studies to problematize these new kinds of expressions of identities, and its constitution as a discursive and social processes. The objective of this paper is to present a critical analysis of the journalistic narrative about the transvestite Rogéria, in an article published in the "Vida" section, in the September issue of 2013, revised in RG magazine (Registro Geral do que interessa), a monthly publication of Carta Editorial. From the theoretical and methodological framework proposed by Chouliaraki and Fairclough (1999) and Fairclough (2003) on the dialectical relation among genre, discourse and style as practices that signify actions, representations and social identifications, we conclude that RG perpetuates an essentialist conception about sexual and gender identities, as well as restricts the construction of Rogéria to the context of concerts and shows. So, considering the media's potential to form public opinion and its predominant voice in the text, we realize that the story does not widen the debate on corporeality and gender; on the opposite, it reproduces a transvestite stereotype as an artistic allegory. - Abstract
This paper aims to understand the Discourse about reading and writing of an academic in a distance learning course of a Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, in order to examine how memories infl uence his academic life. The research appears as a case study and was developed in 2012, in a qualitative way. Analyzes were based on the discursive marks that revealed the meanings in the literacy processes. For analyzes and categorizations, we sought theoretical support in the New Literacy Studies, specifi cally in the model of Academic Literacies. The results indicate that the literacy practices experienced lifelong infl uence new situations in the university environment. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

DEATH , *LINGUISTIC analysis , *DISCURSIVE practices , *BEREAVEMENT - Abstract
This study is an attempt to explore if death, which is here seen as a political category, may occupy the position of a so-called universal category (the term 'universal' is defined later in the article). The approach adopted in this paper is a linguistic/discursive one, taking as a point of departure the analysis of the discursive practices of speakers in situations or contexts in which they have to deal with death and the process of individual or social mourning.
