Abstract

The article discusses a study on the enzymatic and biochemical preference of small C-terminal domain (CTD) phosphatases (SCP) and protein phosphatase 2 (PP2A) for a phosphorylated serine/threonine residue of SMAD2 gene. Topics covered include the specific activity of small CTD phosphatase 1 (SCP1) and PP2A Cα with the 13 phosphopeptides of SMAD2, and the kinetic parameters of SCP1 with 13 phosphopeptides of SMAD2.
