Abstract

The article discusses the Ocean Regulation of Climate via Heat and Carbon Sequestration and Transports (ORCHESTRA) which is a collaborative study of seven research institutes in Great Britain that will improve the knowledge of Southern Ocean. Also discussed are the 200 automated profiling floats deployed by Southern Ocean Carbon and Climate Observations and Modeling (SOCCOM) in the Southern Ocean with chlorophyll fluorescence, particle backscatter and biogeochemical sensors.
