The article discusses the nature of violence by presenting a micro-sociological theory regarding human aggression. An evaluation of violent behavior through the interpretation of visual evidence gathered by surveillance cameras and cellular phones is examined. The emotions of violence are described as an effective tool for the dissection of violent situations. The emotion of violent situations are characterized by a paradigm of confrontational tension/fear (ct/f) which inhibits most violence form occurring. It is argued that a common cause of incompetent violence is ct/f. The idea that humans are generally not good at violence because it is difficult is examined.
