Abstract

The article focuses on a study which shows that patients with psoriasis have a unique profile of phenotype of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) compared with controls. It states that presence of a low percentage of CD4+ T cells producing interferon (IFN) and of high percentages of B cells could help to identify patients not responding to classic treatments. It states that single analysis of PBMC could provide a valuable indicator to predict the need to introduce a targeted therapy.
