Abstract

Dear Editor, A 75-year-old female patient with a 20-year history of presumed cutaneous and mucosal lichen planus (LP) and a 4-year history of bilateral conductive hearing loss presented with acute bilateral otalgia, otorrhoea and (a) violaceous flat-topped papules on the lower extremities. This is the first reported case of otic LP complicated by TM perforation.[1] At the 2-month follow-up, her aural symptoms improved and TM perforations completely resolved with compounded topical 1% tacrolimus in mineral oil.
