The article presents a study which examines the use of the strategy of carbohydrate mouth rinse in strenuous exercise lasting about 50 minutes. The study explores the potential mechanisms involved in the strategy, and evaluates its efficacy in improving physical performance. The results of the study reveal that the strategy is easy to apply, inexpensive and effective in enhancing physical performance during intense and prolonged exercise.

The article presents a research on determining the influence of various distance combinations on critical velocity (CV) and anaerobic work capacity (AWC) in swimmers. It used Shapiro-Wilk test and one-way ANOVA for comparisons between CV and the different combinations of shots. It revealed that shot distance influence CV and AWC, overestimating or underestimating the speed corresponding to maximum lactate steady state.

The article presents a study that investigates the correlation between performance indicators and anthropometric parameters among female national basketball players in Brazil conducted during the 2000 and 2004 Olympic games. Performance indicators include playing time, rebounds, steals, points and errors in a game while anthropometric parameters include the athletes' weight, body fat, body mass index (BMI), and height. Methods utilized in the study as well as the findings are also presented.

The article cites a study that identifies the anthropometric ad motor performance profile of futsal (indoor soccer) players in the second and third-placed teams in the Parana state championships in Brazil. The study revealed that there is no significant differences in motor performance detected between the athletes. It also showed that futsal athletes playing in different positions displayed similar anthropometric and motor performance, in the majority of variables.

The article presents a study on the variety of field positions of soccer players. It compares isokinetic fatigue index of the knee flexor and extensor muscles of the players. The study indicated that there are differences in strength between players of different positions including full backs, defensive midfielders and goalkeepers. Furthermore, it suggests that the players' field positions have an influence on their levels of isokinetic force.

The article presents a study on the determination of critical potential (CP) and anaerobic work capacity (AnWC) of canoeists evaluated on an arm ergometer. It investigates the determination with the influence of two linear models including power-1/time and work-time using three different power levels and their respective times to exhaustion. The study indicates that adopting different models appear to interfere in the calculation of CP and AnWC of exercise on an arm ergometer.
