A boy in his middle childhood presented with intermittent episodes of headache with vomiting for 6months. Plain CT of the head and MRI of the brain revealed fourth ventricular cysticercal cyst with acute obstructive hydrocephalus. Endoscopic excision of the cyst was done along with endoscopic third ventriculostomy and septostomy with external ventricular drain placement. Although we were able to decompress the cysticercal cyst, unfortunately, the cyst got slipped from the grasper leaving the grasped cyst wall in the tooth of the grasper. Through this case report, we want to highlight that such a complication could also happen during neuroendoscopic cysticercal cyst removal and how we dealt with it. Extraskeletal Ewing sarcoma (EES) is a tumour of rare variant of the Ewing sarcoma family of tumours. This family of tumours can have different features; however, these tumours are categorised on the basis of genetic translocation, specific molecular and immunohistochemical features. EES is seen commonly affecting young adults with poor prognosis and high mortality rates. It can be detected in various locations making its diagnosis more difficult. It can present with varied imaging features, often non-specific. However, imaging plays a vital role in the primary tumour assessment, local staging, preoperative management and surveillance. Management involves surgery with chemotherapy. Long-term prognosis in cases of metastatic disease is very poor. In literature, only three cases of axillary EES have been reported so far. Here, we report the fourth case of large EES originating in the left axillary region in a woman in her 20s. The patient was given neoadjuvant chemotherapy; however, the size of the tumour increased, which was later surgically treated with complete excision of the tumour. Unfortunately, the tumour metastasised to the lung for which the patient was irradiated. Afterwards, the patient presented to the emergency room with respiratory distress for which she was on ventilator support; sadly, the patient died after 1week. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Non-compaction of ventricular myocardium (NVM) is a rare clinical entity. It has been reported more frequently in recent years because of continuous improvements in imaging techniques and resolution. Although apical region of the left ventricle is the most commonly involved site, biventricular involvement has also been reported in the published literature. This abnormality is often associated with other congenital cardiac and extracardiac anomalies. We describe such a case, incidentally detected and documented by the combination of echocardiography and multidetector CT coronary angiography. In our case, NVM was associated with Cor-triatriutum, ventricular septal defect, persistent left superior vena cava and an anomalous extracardiac vessel. Pulmonary venous developmental anomalies have been evaluated conventionally with echocardiography and catheter angiography, multidetector CT angiography (MDCTA) and MR angiography are playing increasing roles in their characterisation. Here, we report a rare case of a 15-year-old boy, who presented with cyanosis and dyspnoea which he had had since childhood. Cardiac type of total anomalous pulmonary venous connection (TAPVC) was diagnosed and demonstrated using MDCTA in this case. Brown tumours are classic bony lesions that arise as a result of the effect of parathyroid hormone on bone tissue in some patients with hyperparathyroidism. They are erosive bony lesions caused by rapid osteolysis and peritrabecular fibrosis, resulting in a local destructive phenomenon. Facial skeleton is involved in about 2% of all cases of which the mandible is frequently affected. A 35-year-old female who was diagnosed with osteomalacia and brown tumour in posterior mandible as the sign of secondary hyperparathyroidism secondary to vitamin D deficiency is presented. Cranial meningoceles/encephaloceles are congenital malformations characterised by protrusion of the meninges and/or brain parenchyma because of a skull defect. Meningoceles secondary to an intracranial neoplasm have not been reported in the published literature. We report a unique case of a 42-year-old man who presented with a sudden onset of altered sensorium. We are presenting a case of disseminated cysticercosis involving the brain, spinal cord, orbit, muscles, subcutaneous tissues, liver and spleen of an immunocompetent man. Although cysticercosis is a common tropical disease, such widespread dissemination is an uncommon manifestation. Adenomatoid odontogenic tumour (AOT) is an uncommon, benign tumour that represents 3-7% of all odontogenic tumours. It is slow growing, occurs twice as common in females and usually in the second decade of life. There are three subclinical types of this tumour with identical histology: follicular type (73%), extrafollicular variant (24%) and peripheral form (3%). Here, the authors have presented two rare cases of extrafollicular varieties of AOT in 25-year-old female patients, of which one was situated in the maxillary canine area and the other one situated in an unusual location of mandibular premolar area.
