Glomus tumours (GTs) are rare benign neoplasms arising from modified smooth muscle cells (SMCs) surrounding arteriovenous anastomosis. Typically, these tumours are found in the distal portion of the digits, especially under the fingernails. A GTs originating from the trachea is extremely rare. We are presenting the case of a Caucasian man in his early 80s, presenting with upper airway obstruction and massive bleeding caused by a large tracheal tumour to which final diagnosis of glomangioma of the trachea was retained. Methods of diagnostics, management and follow-up are documented. The incidence of GTs accounts about 1.6% of soft tissue tumours, and they are mainly located in dermal and subcutaneous tissue but can be equally find throughout the body. However, tracheal glomus tumours are the most clinically significant as they can be malignant and cause life-threatening condition through central airway obstruction. A woman in her 40s presented with pain and tenderness over the volar aspect of distal phalanx of her thumb without any swelling or discolouration. MRI indicated a possible glomus tumour. The treatment involved complete excision, and histopathological examination of the excised tissue confirmed the diagnosis of a glomus tumour. Most reported cases of glomus tumours are usually located in either the subungual region or the tip of the finger. Gastric glomus tumours (GGTs) are rare predominantly benign, mesenchymal neoplasms that commonly arise from the muscularis or submucosa of the gastric antrum and account for <1% of gastrointestinal soft-tissue tumours. Historically, GGT has been difficult to diagnose preoperatively due to the lack of unique clinical, endoscopic and CT features. We present a case of an incidentally identified GGT in an asymptomatic man that was initially considered a neuroendocrine tumour (NET) by preoperative fine-needle aspiration biopsy with focal synaptophysin reactivity. An elective robotic distal gastrectomy and regional lymphadenectomy were performed. Postoperative review by pathology confirmed the diagnosis of GGT. GGTs should be considered by morphology as a differential diagnosis of gastric NET on cytology biopsy, especially if there is focal synaptophysin reactivity. Additional staining for SMA and BRAF, if atypical/malignant, can help with this distinction. A woman in her mid-50s was referred to a plastic surgeon with an 8-year history of undiagnosed, localised severe, reproducible pain of the right thigh. Treatment with oral and topical analgesics, corticosteroids, acupuncture and physiotherapy did not provide symptom relief. She was referred to multiple specialists over the preceding 8 years including chronic pain physicians, physiatry, orthopaedic surgery and plastic surgery. Investigations including sonographic and MRI eventually revealed a non-specific soft tissue abnormality in the area of tenderness, which was excised en bloc. Histopathology revealed an extradigital glomus tumour. The patient's symptoms immediately and permanently resolved postexcision.Physicians seeing patients suffering from undiagnosed focal, reproducible pain should consider extradigital glomus tumours in their differential diagnosis. Workup for extradigital glomus tumour includes focused sonographic or MRI over the area of pain. Extradigital glomus tumour is uncommon, little-known outside of its subungual location, and may present without its classic triad of tenderness, cold sensitivity and paroxysmal pain. Imaging is non-specific and diagnosis is often delayed, sometimes for years, leading to unnecessary morbidity. Surgical excision is the treatment of choice, although technique depends on case specifics. Histological subtypes depend on the relative prominence of glomus cells, vascular structures and smooth muscle. The vast majority of glomus tumours are benign. A 56-year-old man was referred to a reconstructive urologist for evaluation of a tender nodule in the penoscrotal area. Penile Doppler ultrasound showed a non-compressible mass with internal vascularity within the corpora spongiosum, and MRI identified an enhancing, solid mass arising from the ventral aspect of the urethra. Surgical resection warranted partial excision and reconstruction of the urethra, which was achieved by a dorsal onlay buccal mucosal graft urethroplasty through a perineal incision with penile invagination. The histopathology report concluded to an invasive, high-grade urothelial carcinoma, for which an aggressive oncological approach was considered. However, discussion with the pathology team led to the identification of a glomus tumour for which the patient did not need additional procedures. Urethral glomus tumours are extremely rare and should be included in the differential diagnosis of urethral masses. Glomus tumours are atypical in extracutaneous locations and very rarely located in reproductive organs. We present an unusual case of an incidentally discovered glomus tumour arising from the testis of a 47-year-old man. The glomus tumour is a rare neoplasm derived from the glomus apparatus. Subungual sites are most common with only three published cases involving the dorsal tongue. To our knowledge, this is the first case of an intraoral malignant glomus tumour (glomangiosarcoma) to be published in English literature. We report a case of a single glomus tumour located on the posterior dorsal tongue of a middle-aged man, which was surgically excised. Glomus tumours are benign tumours typically arising from the glomus bodies and primarily found under the fingernails or toenails. These rare neoplasms account for <2% of all soft tissue tumours and are generally not found in the gastrointestinal tract. We report a case of a 40-year-old man presenting with recurrent epigastric pain and pyrosis. Endoscopy revealed a solitary tumour in the antrum of the stomach. Fine-needle aspiration biopsy was suspicious for a gastrointestinal stroma tumour. After CT indicated the resectability of the tumour, showing neither lymphatic nor distant metastases, a laparoscopic-assisted gastric wedge resection was performed. We present a case of a 60-year-old woman with a 2-year history of nasal obstruction and unilateral recurrent epistaxis. Anterior rhinoscopy identified a unilateral hypervascular lobular mass occupying the entire left nasal cavity. Imaging studies documented an extensive soft tissue density lesion in the left nasal cavity with complete infiltration of the anterior ethmoid, limited indentation of the medial wall of the orbit, bone demineralisation of the cribriform plate and involvement of the anterior cranial fossa. The diagnosis of locally invasive glomangiopericytoma was obtained preoperatively through biopsy of the lesion, which resulted in a self-limited epistaxis that was easily controlled by nasal packing, confirming the vascular nature of the lesion. Glomus tumours are rare benign neoplasms arising from the glomus body, accounting for 1-5% of all soft-tissue tumours of the hand. The diagnosis of glomus tumour is frequently delayed, varying from 3 to 15 years. We present a case of a recurred glomus tumour of the thumb where symptoms persisted for a period of 6 years after an attempted surgical excision. The patient presented with classical symptoms of localised tenderness, cold sensitivity and excruciating pain on touch. Findings on radiograph, ultrasonography and contrast-enhanced MRI further supported the diagnosis. Complete surgical excision, the only recommended treatment, resulted in complete symptomatic relief to the patient. A 21-year-old, usually fit and well man, presented with a 10-year history of intermittent, paroxysmal pain and temperature sensitivity to his right thumb. He felt this was associated with a subungual lesion present on the same digit. A 63-year-old retired man presented to our clinic reporting a severely painful, localised knee pain present for around 30 years and associated with a spontaneous palpable lump. He was prompted to seek medical advice at this point because his symptoms were exacerbated when his young grandchildren bumped into the knee. While radiographs were unhelpful, ultrasonography revealed a well-defined, subcutaneous soft tissue mass at the anterior aspect of the knee. Surgical excision was performed as a day case. Histological examination of the mass showed a glomus tumour.
