Abstract

The article focuses on a study that determines the impact of diabetes on mortality combined with different levels of functioning in older adults in Taiwan. Researchers analyzed data from a 7-year prospective study that represented older adults aged 65 years and above. They used the Student's t-test and Pearson's Chi-Square test to compare diabetic and non diabetic people. The study found that diabetes is not associated with increased mortality in those with high physical functioning.
