Abstract

The article presents a study on the development of the core outcome set, an agreed set of standards used to measure the outcome of the effectiveness trial conducted in a specific health area, for the evaluation of the interventions used in preventing preterm birth. The randomised trials used in the evaluation of interventions for asymptomatic preterm birth resulting to different outcomes leading to the inability to synthesise evidence. The core outcomes affect the pregnant women and offspring.
