Abstract

Using 3D OCT, we have quantified the refractive indices of ear-infection causing bacteria and biofilms with antibiotics interventions. This approach reveals changing optical properties of bacteria in biofilms following the delivery of antibiotics.

Abstract

Specific disease states are often difficult to observe in a clinical setting. Here we demonstrate OCT images from chinchilla ears can supplement existing human data in a machine learning platform to produce diagnostically relevant conclusions.
