Indocyanine green bolus tracking to assess cerebral perfusion may benefit from fluorescence detection. We present a novel approach to depth-discriminated retrieval of the bolus shape by empirical estimation of time-resolved intra- and extracerebral sensitivity functions.

We carried out clinical trials where we measured breast tissue fluorescence spectra during core needle biopsy. This study demonstrated the feasibility of in vivo fluorescence spectroscopy for assessing breast tissue composition during clinical biopsy procedure.
