Abstract

Research has been conducted on the extracellular copper regulating DNA binding activity of the CopY repressor. The mechanism for copper exchange between CopY and a copper chaperone CopZ has been investigated and the results are reported.

Research has been conducted on the cellular location of the Menkes protein. Expression and purification of the N-terminal domain and the second metal-binding module of the Menkes protein in Escherichia coli are analyzed.
