Curcuma longa, often known as turmeric, is a highly regarded and extensively utilised medicinal plant native to India. It belongs to the Zingiberaceae family. Curcumin, Demethoxycurcumin (DMC) and Bisdemethoxycurcumin (BDMC) are the chemical components found in turmeric and are together referred to as curcuminoids. Curcumin, also known as Diferuloylmethane, is a compound that is widely recognised for its diverse range of biological effects. This document presents a discussion on several clinical trials and their corresponding observations related to these activities. Curcumin is a chemical that exists in two different forms depending on the solvent it is in. In organic solvents, it exists in the enolic form, while in water, it exists in the keto form.
