This paper is devoted to the mathematical modeling of traffic flow in a large automobile network. A statistical model of traffic flow proposed by the authors and designed for full-scale modeling of the operation of large-scale transport systems on long time intervals is used. A model has been constructed for one of the sides of the Moscow Ring Road and experiments have been carried out for two ways of jamming on the highway. The functionality of the naive entry control model has been tested in both types of the experiments. We show an application of the methods of mathematical logic to the design of a control system for group movement of trains for a railway station. We develop a typical lifecycle of a route (route design, assembly, control over the movement of a train along the route, disassembling the route) that guarantees safe group movement of trains at a station. We construct the model of a route in the form of a logical passability function and the model of a railway station in the form of a logical diagram. Based on these models, we find the set of potentially feasible station routes, states of railroad switches and route traffic lights. It is noted that the aircraft landing problem is one of the main tasks in the planning and regulation of air traffic flows, which requires the use of a sufficiently serious mathematical apparatus. This paper considers the problem of moving object evasion from detection in the plane. Detection is performed by a system of heterogenous observers that consists of one sensor and a group of detectors. We establish the optimal evasion law in explicit form for the case when the level of transmitted signal has power-type dependence on the evader's speed. This paper consider the coordination problem for the boundaries of control polygons in large-scale network structures; coordination is performed among different types of network partitions into such polygons. We define conditions ensuring smaller control costs in the case where the polygon boundaries of one partition type coincide with those of another partition type. The paper describes a simulation model of a moving automobile and a pedestrian run out to the traffic area with the accident probability calculation. A set of curves showing the accident probability vs. automobile speed for various pedestrian's walking paces is obtained. A method is offered, which allows to decrease accident probability by using a specialized controller analyzing the changing road situation. We present a microscopic model for the dynamics of a transportation flow based on cellular automata with improved lane changing rules. With this model, we study the influence of crossing transportation flows on the throughput of a multilane highway. For a two-lane highway with an exit, we obtain space-time density diagrams for different distributions of exiting cars along the lanes. We consider basic notions of the theory of S-hypernetworks. We show that in terms of that theory, one can describe many systems of network structure adequately enough to find solutions for the problems at hand. In fact, an analytic setting for the analysis and synthesis problems for the structures of the said systems is virtually an imitational model that can be used for problems related to optimization and control of city traffic systems. We provide comparative analysis of different algorithms for finding an equilibrium distribution in a transportation network.
