Multi-year investigations on Cerambycidae and Vesperidae in central Emilia (Italy) are described. Short notes on the host plants and the phenology of the treated species are provided as well as a comparison of our findings with the literature produced by other entomologists since the 19th century. Some species, signaled in the recent checklist of Italian Cerambycidae, are not present here because they were not found in our research, although they could be identified in future investigations. The number of species reported in this work is 121, but considering also the quotations reported by Sama & Rapuzzi (2011), the total number amounts to 143 species. This is an updating of our previous work (2009). In this review, we have revised the nomenclature, updated the literature review, and updated the species, since their number is growing all the time thanks to the continuous research that has been carried out in the past few years.
