The article focuses on the direct-to-consumer genetic testing (DTC) in East Asia. It relates the U.S. Government Accountability Office's report which shows a very negative way on the practices of testing companies on genetic testing. Furthermore, it notes the importance of public health and safety despite the commercial gain of DTC industry.
