Frantz tumor was first mentioned in the year 1959 by Virgina Kneeland Frantz, it is a very rare retroperitoneal pancreatic solid tumor that reaches important sizes even more than 10 centimeters, it is benign because of its low potential for malignancy and affects to young women. One of the symptoms is usually the presence of an abdominal mass that can cause compression or bleeding according to its size. The treatment is eminently surgical, with excellent results when complete mass resection is achieved; Only rarely can this tumor develop aggressive behaviors. The story of a 17-year-old patient, treated at the Pablo Arturo Suarez Hospital, with a preoperative diagnosis of retroperitoneal tumor, was submitted to tumor hysteresis, with adequate postoperative evolution, the histopathological study established the definitive diagnosis of tumor of Frantz [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
