The article focuses on the architectural design of the Dresden Haubtbahnhof railway station in Germany refurbished by Foster and Partners. The first phase of the scheme was the construction of the Teflon-coated glass-fiber roof over the train sheds which started in 2001. The second phase began in 2003 which focused on the reconfiguration of the interior of the reception building. It explains the arrangement of the membrane roof which was designed as single panels spanning between the arches.
