Abstract

The article presents the author's experience while piloting an airplane. He noted that upon landing, he noticed that the brakes are malfunctioning and did not deccelerate the plane's speed. He then decided to use the emergency brakes which enabled to blew the tires which stopped the plane. It was found out that the brake problems were caused after a weekend of heavy rains which soaked the plane's brake pads.
