This paper proposes a new method of applying nonbinary network coding in wireless broadcast network. This network consists of T(T>2) users who receive common information independently from a common base station (BS). We assume that the transmission blocks are subject to block-fading with independent fading coefficients for each block, nonbinary network codes over finite fields are used on top of channel codes. We take two kinds of schemes, with ACK and without ACK, into consideration. In the first situation while considering ACK mechanism, the forward error correction (FEC) and retransmitted techniques are used and network code (NC) can diminish the retransmit count significantly. In the second situation while utilizing broadcast nature without ACK, the NC could help to rebuild losing packets, thus decrease block error ratio. We analyze the delay performance and block error ratio, and verify the analytical performance with simulation. Both simulation and analysis confirm the advantage of proposed scheme.

Due to the ability of the strong anti-interference and directly digital controlling, digital valve has great applications and developing potential in the filed of high frequency response digital servo valve. Base on the rotating structure, a novel high frequency digital valve which can be rotated and controlled in differential parallel way is designed, and the frequency characteristic of electrical signals converting into rotation signals is developed through differential and parallel control of valve spool and valve sleeve. Meanwhile, the hydraulic natural frequency of servo-screw mechanism is further enhanced by the control way of hydraulic half-bridge type A in both chambers of valve spool, and corresponding mathematical model and control block diagram are built. Theoretical analysis concludes that the frequency response characteristic of digital valve is developed significantly. In addition, the multi-gain of rotation angle and axial displacement of valve spool is realized through milling the spiral grooves with different helix angles in the inside of valve sleeve, which improves the flow adaptability of high frequency digital valve effectively. Compared to traditional rotary digital valve, the designed novel digital valve that can be controlled by rotating differentially and parallel has greater advantages in high frequency response and flow adaptability, it provides a new scheme for engineering applications of high frequency digital valve.

Feature selection is an important process to choose a subset of features relevant to a particular application in document classification. Those terms which occur unevenly in various categories have strong distinguishable information as to categorization. Firstly, based on the categorical document frequency probability (CTFP), a CTFP_VM feature selection algorithm was designed for feature selection. Secondly, a maximum term frequency conditional distribution factor was proposed to improve the CTFP_VM criterion further. We perform the document categorization experiments on SVM classifiers with the well-known Reuters-21578 and 20news-18828 corpuses as unbalanced and balanced corpus respectively. Experiments compare the novel methods with other conventional feature selection algorithms and the proposed method achieves the excellent feature set for document categorization.

Medical image registration is the important technique in the clinical medicine field. A novel hierarchical registration method of the medical images based on multiscale information and contour line is proposed in the paper. At First, contour lines of the couple images are extracted based on the edge features obtained by Canny operator, and contour lines of the couple images are resample in order to reduce the calculation cost in the registration process. Secondly, the Principal Axes method is used to accomplish the rough registration based on the resampled contour lines. Thirdly, multiscale image serials obtained by down-sample transform are used to accomplish the couple images fine registration. Experiment results show that the method not only can achieve more accurate registration results, but also can reduce the computational time greatly. The accurate registration results also can be achieved in the noisy environment.

In this paper, parallax-barrier gratings, lenticular lens gratings and spherical crown gratings which are the three kinds of main gratings for auto-stereoscopic three-dimensional printing are introduced. Besides, the principle for these three kinds of gratings is explored. According to the analysis, when different gratings are used for auto-stereoscopic three-dimensional printing, different effects will be obtained. The principle of parallax-barrier gratings is transmission pinhole imaging formation, and the presswork looks comfortable but transmission of light is worse as used parallax-barrier grating. The correspondence principle of lenticular lens gratings is convex lens imaging due to refraction and reflection. Therefore, the stereoscopic images can be only seen in the orientation perpendicular to the array of lenticular lens. While, as the principle of scatter of spherical crowns, the stereoscopic images can be seen in each azimuth when used spherical crown gratings for auto-stereoscopic three-dimensional printing. In the end, a series of further measures are raised to improve the common grating used for auto-stereoscopic three-dimensional printing.

Sine wave loading experiments are carried out on MTS for pump-oil saturated Nanjing sandstones and water saturated Dali marbles. The Young’s modulus and velocities of longitudinal wave and transverse wave increase with the frequency, and there are notable dispersions. The existence of micro defects in saturated rocks result in hysteresis at the sinusoidal loading experiments. The variation curves of instantaneous Young’s modulus with stress for loading and unloading intersect, and an “X” shape figure is obtained. As the frequency of the sinusoidal wave increases, the position of the intersection point moves to higher modulus area. Thus the modulus dispersion increases. Some physical mechanisms of nonlinear frequency response of rock are revealed. The results obtained are very important for nonlinear wave study, and the theoretical study and application of earthquake and engineering.

Vacuum glazing is a new building material with excellent energy conservation and sound insulation properties. Usually, the edge sealing layer between two sheets of glass substrates are prepared by spraying the seal glass paste and then sintering. In the present research, a more effective preparation method is reported. The edge sealing layer is prepared with a glass paste by screen printing, and then sintering. The glass paste for the preparation of edge sealing layer of vacuum glazing was prepared by using low melting glass powder, ZrW2O8 powder with negative coefficient of thermal expansion and ethyl cellulose terpineol solution. The test result of the shear strength of the sealing layer indicated that the sealing is reliable.

This paper adopted freeze casting method to prepare porous Al2O3 ceramic bodies with different volume percentage and interconnected pore channels as the preform. The porous Al2O3 ceramic bodies were pressureless infiltrated with Nb-35Ti-20Al-10Cr alloy (atom percentage, at%) by using electromagnetic induction furnace. The results indicated that there is a well wettability between Nb-35Ti-20Al-10Cr melt and porous Al2O3 ceramic body. And it would be possible to infiltrate Nb-35Ti-20Al-10Cr melt into porous Al2O3 ceramic body through pressureless infiltration. The microstructure observation for the Nb-35Ti-20Al-10Cr/Al2O3 composites demonstrated that it was still retained the layer structure characteristics of the preform. The Nb-35Ti-20Al-10Cr melt was filled into the interconnected pore channels existed in the porous Al2O3 ceramic bodies and the Nb, Ti, Al, Cr alloy elements diffused into the reinforced Al2O3 particles during pressureless infiltration.

Two same concrete experimental models are made to simulate solid buildings with the control variable method, by making 100% coverage of roof greening and 50% coverage of wall greening on the enclosure of one model, and taking the other model as the reference without arrangement of greening. Then collect the data of the temperatures inside and outside the models. The analysis shows that during the period from October, 2010 to March, 2011, the average accumulated temperature of the test model is 1.31°C∙h higher than that of the control model, and the green plantations can effectively reduce the heat transfer coefficient of enclosure structure, and improve the thermal resistance of the enclosure. The greening method used in this experiment can improve the thermal insulation of the enclosure by about 10%.

The constrained stress-induced ε reverse martensitic transformation characteristic of Fe-17Mn-5Si-10Cr-5Ni shape memory alloy wire embedded in cement matrix was studied by X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) and metallographical. The results show that the finish temperature (Af) of the constrained reverse transformation of Fe-17Mn-5Si-10Cr-5Ni shape memory alloy in cement matrix, compared with the unconstrained alloy, is elevated. With increasing the pre-strain, the Af is higher, and reverse transformation temperature zone is broadened. The main result which causes martensitic reverse transformation harder is that Fe-Mn-Si alloy deformation coordination is limited by cement matrix constrained.

In this study, 1mm thick Fe-Mn-Si shape memory alloy was welded by both sides using YAG laser welding. In a certain range of parameters, the optimal processing parameters for the maximum tensile strength are current 100 A, pulse frequency 3 Hz and pulse width 15 ms by orthogonal experiment. With the optimal processing parameters, the tensile strength of the welded joint can achieve 94% of base material, and the fracture appears in the center of welding seam and the surface morphology of welding seam is good. The influence of processing parameters on tensile strength of weld joint is directly embodied in cross-section of the welding seam morphology. In the laser welding, the tensile strength of nonpenetration in seam and hourglass shape welded joint is generally poor, and the perfect welded joint has conditions such as wide welding seam, deep penetration, weld pool filling and “non-hollow”. Most importantly, the central area in cross-section of the welding seam is the widest.
