In this work, the novel Ti-based composite material has been synthesized, characterized and studied for the photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue(MB). The effects of the doping amount of La and N, calcination temperature and time, light intensity were studied in detail. The strong synergism of La, N and TiO2 was discussed during the photocatalytic process. The results suggested that the degradation efficiency was obviously improved by the Ti-based photocatalyst and the La element could enhance the photocatalytic degradation performance significantly, and the best molar ratio of N and TiO2 was 0.000014:1. The study found that the best preparation conditions can also improve the photocatalytic activity, the optimal material was made after calcining for 4h at 800°C. What is more, the higher illumination power was benifit for the degradation of the MB. It is indicated that the mixed crystal Ti-based composite material being an effective adsorbent for the elimination of the contaminated water by dyes. In addition, the work provide new direction for future research.

A novel composite framework of Cuckoo Search (CS) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm called CS-PSO is proposed in this paper. In CS-PSO, initialization is substituted by chaotic system, and then Cuckoo shares optimums in the global best solutions pool with particles in PSO to improve parallel cooperation and social interaction. Furthermore, Cloud Model, famous for its outstanding characteristics of the process of transforming qualitative concepts to a set of quantitative numerical values, is adopted to exploit the surrounding of the local solutions obtained from the global best solution pool. Benchmark test results show that, CS-PSO can converge to the global optimum solution rapidly and accurately, compared with other algorithms, especially in high dimensional problems.

In order to automatically expand high quality polarity adjectives as much as possible by using the WordNet, three types of query strings are used in this study. Among them, the third type of query string is the most important. Besides ‘synonym’ and ‘antonym’ relations, we also use ‘similar to’ and ‘also see’ relations of the WordNet. In fact, the last two relations are more important than the first two ones. With the help of the newly proposed method, we can calculate the sentiment intensity of those expanded adjectives exactly. Abundant experiments demonstrate that our improved POAE algorithm is very effective in expanding and ranking adjective seed list in the sentiment analysis.

The circular actuators of dielectric elastomer are a type of basic configurations [1]. A pre-stretched polymer film with an annulus electrode will be investigated in this work. The deformation along the radius was be proved to be inhomogeneous [2]. We study the inhomogeneous properties of circular ring actuators based on the ideal dielectric model and meanwhile obtain the failure modes of tension loss which will occur under different geometric parameters. For this type of circular actuator, the loss of tension will occur before electric breakdown. The method illustrated here is generic and can be applied to other complex circular configuration. The results will contribute to the further improvement of DE.

MgxZn1-xO films with hexagonal structure are prepared by radio frequency (rf) magnetron sputtering on Si substrate. The refractive indices and absorption coefficients of these films in the wavelength range from 300 to 800nm are determined by using ellipsometry at room temperature. The results show that the refractive index increases as the wavelength decreases in the transparent region (400-800nm). It reaches its maximum value around 340nm and 331nm, which is close to the fundamental absorption edge. Then the refractive index decreases as the wavelength gets shorter. The value of the refractive index is also a function of the Mg content. The higher the Mg content is in the film, the smaller the refractive index of the film is in the wavelength range from 330nm to 850nm. The band gap energy of the MgxZn1-xO film is obtained by analyzing its absorption spectrum. An increase in the Mg content causes the fundamental absorption edge to shift toward shorter wavelength. In addition, UV and strong blue emission have been observed when the MgxZn1-xO film is excited with light wave of 260nm at room temperature, and the emission mechanism is discussed.

Swing vane compressor (SVC) is a novel rotary compressor, which is structurally simple with a small size, a light weight and smooth operation. The SVC also has advantages, such as reduced frictional losses and improved mechanical efficiency at high speed. In this paper, a mathematical model including the geometrical, thermodynamic, flow and input power aspects was formulated, which was then linked to an optimization algorithm to search for three main structural design parameters under three sets of design constraints, for an optimum compressor performance with maximum energy efficiency ratio (EER). In the end, the mathematical simulation of the compressor were given and the theoretical optimization study predicted that a large reduction in frictional loss could be possibly achieved, which brings about an improvement in EER of the compressor of about 8.55%.

When HDFS runs for a period of time, the default HDFS replica placement strategy does not consider heterogeneous nodes and randomly selectes datanodes, so available storage space of each datanode are differenced from several G to tens of G range, HDFS may have some available storage space smaller datanode. If HDFS continues to write replica in these available storage space smaller datanodes,it may cause the failure of replica placement; These nodes run MapReduce tasks, MapReduce task may fail due to smaller storage space available. Therefore, this paper proposes an Available storage space sensitive replica placement strategy of HDFS,this strategy uses available storage space and current number of connections of per datanode to compute evaluation value, then chooses the biggest evaluation value datanode as the best datanode to place replica. The experimental results show that the strategy achieves placing replica in accordance with available storage space of datanode, effectively avoiding the available storage space smaller datanode, reducing the probability of writing replica failed because the available storage space is too small, shorten the file upload time.

Nowadays, continuous sampling data have been widely used in the research field. However, many unpredictable distortion data points, caused by varying reasons, appear in the raw data randomly. Therefore, removing distortion data points are obligatory for raw data processing. The conventional method is the artificial recognition method, which has serious problems when applied to large volumes of data. Another way is the filtering method, which is limited by application conditions, has a bad influence on valid data what people do not expect. In this paper, we proposed an effective interpolation method to remove the distortion point. This method based on the assumption that changes between adjacent points in continuous sampling data are limited. The distortions can be recognized from the magnitude and the change rate and removed. At last, the polynomial interpolation method is used to obtain the final result. Such method has been used in the preprocessing of aeromagnetic data and gets a good result.

Pork storage time is relevant to its freshness which influences pork quality. To achieve the rapid and effective discrimination of pork storage time, near infrared spectroscopy was used to collect the near infrared reflectance (NIR) spectra of pork in different storage time. The high-dimensional NIR spectra was firstly compressed by principal component analysis (PCA) and then classified by fuzzy learning vector quantization (FLVQ). PCA plus FLVQ is a completely unsupervised learning algorithm which finds hidden patterns in unlabeled data. Experimental results showed that PCA plus FLVQ could classify pork NIR spectra effectively.

To get better solution by improving the mutation strategy of Differential Evolution algorithm, a fractal mutation strategy is introduced. The fractal mutation factor of the proposed Fractal Mutation factor Differential Evolution (FMDE) algorithm is simulated by fractal Brownian motion with a different Hurst index. The new algorithm is test on 25 benchmark functions presented at 2005 IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation (CEC2005). The optimization results of at least 10 benchmark functions are significantly better than the results obtained by JADE and CoDE, and most of the rest of the test results are approximate. This shows that FMDE can significantly improve the accuracy and adaptability to solve optimization problems.

The fracture problems of medium carbon steel under extra-low cycle bend torsion fatigue loading were studied using artificial neural networks (ANN) in this paper. The ANN model exhibited excellent comparison with the experimental results. It was concluded that predicted fracture design parameters by the trained neural network model seem more reasonable compared to approximate methods. It is possible to claim that, ANN is fairly promising prediction technique if properly used. Training ANN model was introduced at first. And then the Training data for the development of the neural network model was obtained from the experiments. The input parameters, the presetting deflection and notch open angle, and the output, the cycle times of fracture were used during the network training. The neural network architecture is designed. The ANN model was developed using back propagation architecture with three layers jump connections, where every layer was connected or linked to every previous layer. The number of hidden neurons was determined according to special formula. The performance of system is summarized at last. In order to facilitate the comparisons of predicted values, the error evaluation and mean relative error are obtained. The result show that the training model has good performance, and the experimental data and predicted data from ANN are in good coherence.

Path-based fault-localization technique is proved to be more effective than coverage-based fault localization because of analyzing the semantics of a program. Most previous work focused on investigating coverage-based test-suite reduction approach for fault localization. But it is not suitable for path-based fault localization, because it only analyzes coverage information, and does not take the execution path information of test cases into account. In this paper, we propose a test-suite reduction approach for path-based fault localization. This approach analyzes the concrete execution path of test cases. The experimental results show that the proposed method works well in improving the effectiveness of path-based fault localization.

The pointer alias is indispensable for program analysis. Comparing to point-to set, it’s more efficient to formulate the alias as the context free language (CFL) reachability problem. However, the precision is limited to flow-insensitivity. To solve this problem, we propose a flow sensitive, demand-driven analysis algorithm for answering may-alias queries. First the partial single static assignment is used to discriminate the address-taken pointers. Then the order of control flow is encoded in the level linearization code to ease comparison. Finally, the query of alias in demand driven is converted into the search of CFL reachability with feasible flows. The experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
