The wind tunnel testing of large scale section model of the Forth Nanjing Yangzi River Bridge was conducted by the section model with a scale of 1:20. The details of the bridge girder could be simulated more precisely with a large scale. In the testing, a comparison was between the original girder cross section and the girder section without rails and tracks in the attack angle of +5°. On top of this, the main factor that causes the vortex-induced vibration of the girder was due to the installation of guide rail in the bottom of the girder. The control of vortex-induced vibration research was conducted concerning the installation of the guide rail.

In order to overcome the shortcoming as the model is too simple to reflect the whole vehicles mechanical characteristics in traditional simulation for electric drive vehicle, the method of mechanical-electrical co-simulation is put forward. The virtual model of 8×8 wheeled vehicle is constructed by ADAMS, and then the co-simulation model is built. The co-simulation experiment is taken under the working condition of accelerating on low adhesive road,the accurate of the control model is validated according to the result, which will contribute to the research on driving antiskid control for in-wheel motor drive vehicle.

Aiming at the question about armor training simulator whose image visual is not vivid and function is not perfect in our country [1, 6], the paper introduces RV engine in simulation training system of armored vehicle. It has researched establishment of entity and fire control system model based on RV, and then accomplished the simulation of range setting state, including the changing rule of gunner viewer-sight of the Image-stabilization fire control system, the principle on the measuring distance with laser, and the calculation of the location and height lead.

In order to analysis controllability and stability of wheeled vehicle, virtual model of 8×8 wheeled vehicle was constructed by ADAMS/Car. Doing snakelike test for virtual model by use of appraise method for controllability and stability of vehicle, according to the appraise and scoring for average steering wheel angle and average yaw velocity peak value at basic speed at last, the analysis result shows the better controllability and stability of the model, which provide the basis for further study of the entire vehicle dynamics.

According to the analysis of wheeled armored vehicles hybrid electric drive system design scheme, we determined the factors set matrix and scheme set matrix of hybrid electric drive scheme evaluation based on some subjective and objective experience. We adopt projection pursuit index function to measure the size of projection exposing to a decision the structure, and looking for mission projection objective function to achieve optimal projection value. Finally, we set quality order according to the projection value for armored vehicles hybrid electric drive system decision scheme, and choose the best possible solution.

In order to analysis the sensitivity and follow characteristic in steering of 8×8 wheeled vehicle, virtual model of 8×8 wheeled vehicle is constructed by ADAMS/Car. Doing simulation for transient performance of steering for virtual model according to the appraise of yaw velocity peak value at 70% of highest speed. The analysis result shows the better sensitivity of the model.

The Penang Second Bridge is a new bridge under construction in Penang, Malaysia. The aerodynamic behavior of the bridge was one of the main concerns. This paper summarizes of the wind tunnel testing of the 1:40 scaled aeroelastic model testing for the free standing tower. The wind tunnel Investigations were carried out with the objective of verifying the detailed design of bridge towers through measurement of the buffeting response to turbulent wind, susceptibility to galloping instabilities and susceptibility to vortex shedding excitation in smooth oncoming flow.The test results show that explicit vortex-induced vibration was observed for the completed free standing tower, however it will not affect the safety of the tower, and the buffeting response of tower is within acceptable range under the designed wind speed.

With continuous consumption of proven resources, people have to turn to new resources or find new ways for prospecting. As to Yunnan Gejiu Tin and copper polymetallic deposit, deep ore prospecting may be the solution. The newly discovered copper-polymetallic deposit inside the rock of Tangzi’ao depression zone, which located in western part of Yunnan Gejiu east tin mine area, is a new type of deposit in deep ore prospecting. This kind of deposit produced in the alkali-rich, oxidizing environment, potash feldspathization is an important sign of prospecting, and a variety of metallic elements can be comprehensive utilization. It is special that potash feldspathization zone and epidotization zone alternating with each other; the phenomenon may caused by multi-period of hydrothermal fluids. By quantitative calculating the results of altered rocks and original rock samples, the author find out the migration laws of the constant elements and the main ore-forming elements and their associated elements, which provide a basis for prospecting in the future.

Long-span suspension bridges, due to their flexibility and lightness, are much prone to the wind loads, aerodynamics performance has become an important aspect of the design of long-span suspension bridges. In this study, the static wind load acting on the suspension bridge during erection has been investigated through wind tunnel test and numerical analysis. The wind tunnel test was performed using a 1:50 scale section model of the bridge, the static wind load acting on the section model was measured with varying attack angles. Numerical method used here was computational fluid dynamics simulation, a two-dimensional model is adopted in the first stage of the analysis, then the SIMPLE algorithm was employed to solve the governing equations. The analytical results were compared with the wind tunnel test data, it was shown from the study that the results of CFD simulation was good agreement with that of the wind tunnel test.

For the intermediate pylons of multi-pylon cable-stayed bridges can’t be connected by backstays to fixed points, it is possible to produce greater horizontal displacements in the top of towers under the action of external loads. Therefore, it is an important problem to obtain adequate structural stiffness in the design of multi-pylon cable-stayed bridges. In this paper, methods of improving stiffness of multi-pylon cable-stayed bridges are discussed. Multi-pylon cable-stayed bridges with intersecting cable are studied. Some useful recommendations were given for the design of multi-pylon cable- stayed bridges by numerical calculation.

As the Internet developed, the problem of spam has become increasingly serious. Not only caused great distress to individuals, but also have a great business costs. With improvements in computing speed, neural network is becoming a very good tool for text classification. The purpose of this study is to conduct few experiments by using neural network approach for Chinese mails’ content. The result shows that neural network approach is effective for Chinese mails’ spam-identification and the adjustments of some parameters (the number of keywords, the number of nodes, and the number of categories) also increase the accurate rate, while reducing false positives.
