In chaotic speech signal encryption, masking is the most direct and convenient method. But the chaotic signals usually have a narrow spectral range in low frequency region. In order to overcome the disadvantage that the higher frequency signals can not be completely covered up, UPT is used to conduct a nonlinear transformation to chaotic signal. After UPT, chaotic types are increased, chaotic characteristics are improved and spectral range is widened. Simulation experiments are done respectively from frequency domain and spectrogram perspectives. The chaos before and after transformation are used to mask speech signal. Decoding experiment is taken on the speech encrypted by transformed chaos. Experiment results show that, after UPT, the encryption effect of speech signal is improved obviously. This method has a high security and a strong anti-attack ability.

The variation on the product functional parameter has been shown to cause potential failures. These potential failures may not be caught in production line, but become the reason of customer complaints. To enable the development of robust method to detect variation, this work explores the possible sign from the data of sector reports and transforms the questioned data to the variation by Six Sigma Methodology. The key techniques of DMAIC, MVA, SPC and RSMDOE are utilized. The method is designed with three phases: firstly it is to analyze the data from the sector report to detect the peculiar value. Then the performance is evaluated to identify the variation. In the last step the issue related to the variation is solved by design optimization. The method is evaluated in the manufacturing site with the material consumption data, and the excessive 20% consumption caused by the variation is saved, which demonstrates this variation detection method is in feasible and efficient manner for quality management.

The distributions of net-phytoplankton and nutrients were studied in Xiangshan Bay in summer, 2012. The results showed that in summer, the higher values of net-phytoplankton cell abundance were distributed in the areas of Tie port, Huangdun port and Xihu Port. Whereas, the lower values were mainly found in the stations located in the outer area of Xiangshan Bay and the area around Liuheng Island. The content of nitrate in the middle of the bay was higher than that both in the bottom and the entrance of the bay. The concentration of nitrate in the bottom water was a little higher than that in the surface water. The distribution trends of the concentration of nitrite, ammonium and phosphate were almost the same. The higher values were discovered in the sea area of Tie port and Huangdun port and the lower were mainly distributed in the area of the outer Xiangshan Bay and the sea area around Liuheng Island. The distribution trends were almost the same no matter in the surface water or in the bottom water. From the bottom to the middle to the entrance of the bay, the values reduced in turn. In summer, in the water of Xiangshan Bay, net-phytoplankton cell abundance and nutrient (N, P) content didn’t have significant correlation. The concentration of the nutrients (Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonium and Phosphate) was far more than the minimum threshold of the growth of phytoplankton.

This paper studies the implementation of an ADRC to deal with depth variations of AUV. The depth model of AUV is decoupled from the 6 DOF dynamics function at first. Then, the least square method is introduced to identify the nonlinear open-loop model of AUV offline, and a more accurate depth model that varies with the elevator angle is achieved. Finally, ADRC is applied to the improved depth model with the disturbance of inaccuracy elevator angle and the error of depth measurement. The result confirms that AUV depth model varies with the elevator angle, while the ADRC controller could reject the errors in the depth sensor and the disturbances of mechanical transmission of rudder and the nonlinear variations at different operating points. Comparing to the traditional PID controller, ADRC performs better respectively with these uncertainty. The contribution of the proposed controller would support to the future application to 3D motion control and path tracking of AUV in practice.

A nonideal acoustic cloak with realizable physical properties is proposed. The density and modulus of the designed acoustic cloak are in a reasonable range of material parameters. Full-wave simulations are performed to demonstrate the properties of the proposed cloak. Results on far-field sound pressure level show that the nonideal acoustic cloak decreases the scattering field intensity and the target strength (TS) of the scatterer. The nonideal acoustic cloak also has significant effect on suppressing internal radioactive noise. A comparison is made with the reduced cloak proposed by Chen.

The paper proposes a design method for the layered and ring-shaped acoustic cloaking based on BM. According to the theory of PM cloaking, physical parameters of the ring-shaped acoustic cloaking are given by theoretical design. Further, based on the features of microstructure of BM, the relationship between the parameters of each layer of microstructure of BM and the analytic expression of the physical parameters of acoustic cloaking made of BM is determined, and the design methods for microstructure of layered and ring-shaped acoustic cloaking are discussed, namely, radial equidistant layered design and radial non-equidistant layered design (i.e. equal sectorial angle layered design). At last, according to the radial non-equidistant layered design parameters of the ring-shaped acoustic cloaking, the microstructure model of the layered and ring-shaped acoustic cloaking is designed. The results of the study can serve as theoretical basis for actual production and application of acoustic cloaking.

In recent years, the prevailing topic crawler algorithms are concentrated on the contents of topical words. These existing approaches neglect the sematic relationship among textual concepts, which lead to low correlation between crawled webpages. To address the issue, this paper presents a deep analysis of Shark Search algorithm, and makes an optimization in terms of incorporating the characteristics associated with semi-structured webpages. Furthermore, we enhance the performance of vector space model utilized in Shark Search algorithm by virtue of domain ontology, and propose a standardized method based on the vector space of ontology model to improve the evaluation metric of TF-IDF. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of our algorithm that outperforms the state-of-the-art significantly in precision and recall.

The influence of recycled aggregates on the frost resistance of concrete was studied by rapid freezing-thawing test. Results showed that there was an important effect of aggregate gradation on frost resistance of recycled coarse aggregate concrete. Frost resistance of recycled fine aggregate concrete was deteriorated with increasing the content of recycled fine aggregate, and recycled fine aggregate had a greater influence on the frost resistance of recycled aggregate concrete than recycled coarse aggregate when adding both together. Test showed that the mass loss rate and the relative dynamic elastic modulus loss are not consistent as evaluation indexes of the frost resistance for recycled concrete, and whether the mass loss rate is suitable as an indicator of frost resistance durability needs to be further studied.

Non-subsampled contourlet transform (NSCT) is the combination of the multi-scale analysis and multi-directional analysis in processing high-dimensional signals and has better approximation precision and better sparse description. A novel and efficient fusion method of infrared image and visible image based on NSCT is proposed. Firstly, source fusion images can be decomposed into low-frequency coefficients and high-frequency coefficients using the NSCT. For the low-frequency coefficients, the average fusion algorithm is used. For the each directional high frequency sub-band coefficients, the larger value and region average gradient maximum criterion is used to select the better coefficients for fusion. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can achieve better result compared with the traditional image fusion algorithms.

All steel laser welded sandwich plates have found their position in the marine and land vehicles. To implement such design accurately, knowledge about its strength properties and the influence of laser weld dimensions on strength is necessary. In this paper, the over-hanging three point bending tests were conducted on the laser welded web-core steel sandwich plate with various weld dimensions by self-designed device, together with the finite element simulations. The results show that the joint is formed on the first plastic hinge when the load is no longer a linear relationship with the deflection, and the joint cracking when the load reaches the maximum bearing capacity of sandwich plate. The joint yield load and the maximum bearing capacity of the sandwich plates increased with the increasing of weld width. Meanwhile, the mode of failure of sandwich plates also changed: When the weld width is smaller, the mode of failure is joint yield, When the weld width is greater than 3mm, the mode of failure is the combination of partial joint yield, face plate and core plate local yield, while the face plate and core plate yield exists in the whole weld joint. For accomplishing acoustic location in wireless sensor networks (WSNs), a range free acoustic localization algorithm based on perpendicular bisector partition is proposed, taking into account of reducing computation complexity and reduce the interference of the background noise. Adopting a range free perpendicular bisector partition, the proposed method can find the sub-region of the source, and the time complexity is much lower than that of existing methods. According to extensive analysis on noise, the concept of noise sensitive region is derived. Experimental results show that the proposed method has a high localization precision and low complexity.

To explore micro-or nanoscintillator with a controllable architecture, a novel facile hydrothermal method easy for commercial run was used to synthesize pure and Ce doped β-NaLuF4 microcrystals at 453K. The morphology of uniform hexagonal prism with 3.3μm in diameter and 1.4 μm in thickness, respectively, is presented by the results of scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) patterns show the products are both pure hexagonal phase. Different from the undoped product without any irradiation, the Ce doped product has given strong broad band emission attributed to 5d4f transition of Ce3+, which can be potentially used as scintillator for biomedical imaging and detectors for high energy such as X-ray and γray. This synthetical strategy extends the understanding about nanomaterial chemistry and can be also useful for other systems such as fluorides, oxides and sulfides.

The surfaces of the microlenses at the conical end-faces of optical fibers require high quality to keep the best performance of laser beam delivery. The polishing parameters play an important role to get the best quality of the microlenses. Most of the past researches study on the polishing parameters of flat surfaces. In this study, the polishing area of the conical end-face of the optical fiber is varied during fabrication. The relation between removed volume and removed thickness is built to determine the material removal rate. An experiment is carried out and the results show that the first two spinning turns are much effective for polishing under the parameters of the experiment.

In order to improve the energy harvesting efficiency of piezoelectric cantilever beam (PCB) in the environment. This paper presents a new type of piezoelectric cantilever beam which is the single-sided trapezoidal loop shaped PCB. By theory analysis, the equivalent circuit model was established, resonant angular frequency is inversely proportional to the length of cantilever beam. Based on finite element analysis method, the piezoelectric performance of single-sided trapezoidal loop shaped PCB and that of single-sided rectangular loop shaped PCB are compared with the same areas. The analysis results show that the coupling voltage of the former is larger, the output power of single-sided trapezoidal loop shaped PCB is improved, and the theoretical derivation of the inverse relationship between the frequency and length is verified.

Aimed to solve the abandoned wind problem and reduce CO2 emission in the power generation process, this paper put forward a thermal, wind power and pumped storage power station co-operation cost-benefit analysis model. And through a simulation example, found that using pumped storage power station to substitute thermal power as the alternate service for wind power, and absorb underused wind power, can reduce the use of fired units and increase the capacity of grid to absorb wind power, as well as reduce CO2 emission. Then through the sensitivity analysis, found that the amount of grid-connected wind power is a sensitive factor of CO2 emission reduction and the decrease of grid power purchase profit. So when grid implementing wind power grid connection, should use pumped storage power station as the wind power alternate service to promote wind power grid connection.
