In order to meet the requirements of the bionic flying, traditional Half-Rotating Mechanism (HRM) should be simplified because its structure was too complex and heavy. The design idea of simplified HRM was firstly introduced in this paper. Simplified HRM could be achieved by adding a local constraint made of positioning slider and shaft with groove in the slider-crank mechanism. To make sure the movement of simplified HRM was smooth and reliable, relative motion characteristics of positioning slider in groove of shaft had been analyzed and the curve of shaft with groove had been designed. The key parameters, such as radius and center position of inner and outer arc, had been calculated. A case study based on Unigraphics software was finally given and different states of positioning slider in one running cycle had been shown. The study results indicated that the method of simplifying HRM was effective and design of local constraint was accurate. The above research would provide some helpful advices for HRM application.

Space target detection under the background of stars is one of the key techniques in space based optical measurement. In this paper, we proposed a space target detection algorithm based on star identification. First, the centroid of stars and space target is extracted by FPGA. Then, DSP accomplish space target detection based on the centroid data. Result shows that this method have a good effect on the space target detection.

This paper presents novel pedestrian detection approach in video streaming, which could process frames rapidly. The method is based on cascades of HOG-LBP (Histograms of Oriented Gradients-Local Binary Pattern), but combines non-negative factorization to reduce the length of the feature, aiming at realizing a more efficient way of detection, remedying the slowness of the original method. Experiments show our method can process faster than HOG and HOG-LBP, and more accurate than HOG, which has better performance in pedestrian detection in video streaming.

In this paper, a meshless global element-free Galerkin method is given to obtain the numerical solutions of the coupled equations in the velocity and magnetic field for the unsteady magnetohydrodynamic flow through a straight duct with arbitrary electrical conductivity, that is, from perfectly conducting to insulated duct walls. The moving least-square approximation scheme is employed to construct shape functions. A time stepping method is employed to deal with the time derivatives. Non-uniform background grids and nodes are applied for numerical simulations. Computations are performed for different Hartmann numbers and wall conductivities at different time.

The bonding mechanism between water-based UV curable ink and active groups on paper’s fiber during curing process was studied in this paper. Low viscosity water-based UV-cured resin was synthesized by epoxy resins, epoxy diluent, acrylic acid and maleic anhydride in the presence of catalyst. The viscosity of the synthesis system and synthetic products were significantly reduced when epoxy diluent was added to replace parts of the epoxy resin. Epoxy diluent was very useful in reducing the viscosity of the product, but over-dose would have negative effects on the quality of the cured film. The water-based epoxy acrylate prepolymer was used as the substitution for the ink to investigate the binding mechanism between the active groups of prepolymer and fiber under UV irradiation. The prepolymer and photoinitiator were mixed and the mixture was diluted to an appropriate viscosity by a small amount of water, then printed on the paper by the method of analog printing and curred by UV curing machine. The printed paper was used to extract lignin by enzymatic/mild acidolysis. FT-IR was used to characterize the changes of the active groups in lignin. The results showed that the changes of active groups in lignin were founded in the existence of ultraviolet and photoinitiator, which consistent with the change of double bonds in prepolymer. The free radicals produced by photoinitiator in curing process not only promoted the double bonds to polymerize, but also accelerated the active groups of lignin binding. Experiments show that chemical bonds exist between them.

Exhaust gas temperature (EGT) is an important parameter for aeroengine. By monitoring the change in trend, can effectively predict the engine take-off performance. The characteristics of takeoff EGT were introdeced firstly. Two methods of estimating takeoff performance were analyzed subsequently. According to the statistical data, EGT can be used for takeoff performance prediction.

This paper analyzes the effects of some parameters of meshless local Petrov-Galerkin method for fully developed magnetohydrodynamic flow in rectanular duct on error of numerical simulation. These parameters includes: the size of local quadrature domain , the number of local domain in local quadrature domain, and the size of support domain. By a series of numerical simulations, the optimal values for these parameters which may cause a good accuracy of computation are determined.

On the basis of the joint model experiment, the non-linear performance of joints is analysed by using finite element program. The concrete stress distribution, stirrups stress and dangerous area of joints with spread-ended beams are discussed. Finite element analysis shows that effective prestressing tendons through the joint core region play a beneficial role in concrete and can improve the compressive strengths of concrete, and help to improve the shear strength of joints. Finally, according to experiments and theoretical analysis, the beginning of the haunched region is the dangerous area of joint. In order to avoid concrete tension failure when exerting prestress, the beginning of the haunched region must have enough transverse U-shaped bars to resist the prestressing tension.

In order to collect and process data effectively, express the advantage of LabVIEW, this paper presents a design method for collecting and processing data in more channel using PXI-5922 and PXI-6733 based on LabVIEW. The system can realize two channel signals generation, data collection and signal analysis.

Three joints of prestressed concrete frame are studied under low frequency reversed loading. The failure and cracks feature, damage characteristics and mechanical properties under seismic loads are comparatively analysed between joints with spread-ended beams and conventional joints. Studies show that the layout of prestressing tendons and joints with spread-ended beams have little influence on the bearing capacity and ductility. Prestressing tendons through the joint core region can improve the shear strength of joints, but tendons through the joint outer region can not. We need to only consider the influence on the area of prestressing tendons through joint core region when calculating the shear strength of joints.

In connected graph, edge centrality represents the importance of edge and loading degree in the process of information transmission. The second eigenvalue of Laplacian matrix decides connectivity of complex networks. We propose edge centrality model and cut model based on minimization model of the algebraic connectivity. Edge centrality function is derived in order to calculate edge centrality. Cut model deletes k edges at an iteration whose algebraic connectivity of complex networks decreased fastest. Choice of k is based on edge sparse degree of complex networks. By empirical analysis of real network, the implications of edge with higher centrality and its vertex coincide with the fact. The model can be used in medium-size networks with lower time complexity and higher efficiency.

This The IEEE 802.15.4 devices are proposed to operate in the 2.4 GHz industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) band. The other devices that use IEEE 802.11 b, g and n share the same frequency band. The interference caused by these technologies can degrade the performance of an IEEE 802.15.4 based wireless network. In this paper we study such degrading effects on a network equipped with IEEE 802.15.4 devices that is exposed to interference in turn with IEEE 802.11 b, g and n. The performance measure in this paper is the link Packet Receive Rate (PRR). Measurements are performed with real-life equipment, in order to quantify coexistence issues. We test all 16 channels of IEEE 802.15.4 in 2.4G band and the results show the decrease of PRR when suffering in close frequency with IEEE 802.11. The connection between energy detection and PRR is also exhibited in this paper.

The chaotic system is sensitive to initial value,and this characteristic can be applied in the interference signal detection.There are periodic state,critical state and chaotic state in a chaotic system.When the system is in the critical state,a small perturbation of system parameter may lead to a qualitative change of the systems state.This paper introduces a method to detecting interference signals based on the chaotic system and a new idea of using it into the detection of distribution network disturbance when distributed generation is connected to the grid.In this paper we choose the duffing oscillator as a chaotic system to study,use MATLAB to carry on the simulation,and research the changes of the system when the interference signal to be detected is added to the system.By means of observing the phase locus chart and time domain chart the interference signal will be detected.

A data center energy-saving system and method based on virtual IT technology resource distribution technology is proposed in this paper. Through monitoring virtual environment resources in data center, the limited IT resources can be dynamically migrated and the auxiliary equipment resources such as air conditioner can be rationally managed. Then the resources can be reasonably and efficiently allocated by monitoring the virtual environment. With a closed-loop feedback control mechanism, it effectively improves the utilization of data center resources, and ultimately achieves the operation and maintenance for data center of green energy-saving target. This method was implemented in a true data center for cloud computing. Test results show that the total energy consumption of this system can be reduced by 13%, and the power usage effectiveness drops to 1.5.

Establishing Swanson constitutive model is discussed for composite solid propellant, which focused on the calculation of strain softening function and change strain rate correction function within the model. Prediction results of Swanson constitutive model are in good agreement degrees with the test of 24 groups uniaxial tensile data of composite solid propellant at different temperatures and extension rates. It proves the model is effective and available.

Parameterized model of combine harvester frame is created using the DM module of ANSYS Workbench in this paper. Analysis on the strength and stiffness of the frame is implemented to estimate its safety and economy. According to the analysis result, optimization is made to save material appropriately. Modal analysis of the frame is proceeded to study its natural frequency and compare it with external excitation frequency.

For the sake of reflecting the concentrated heat flux distribution boundary condition as genuine as possible during simulation, the sequential coupled optical-thermal heat transfer analysis is introduced for porous media receiver. During the sequential coupled numerical analysis, the non-uniform heat flux distribution on the fluid entrance surface of porous media receiver is obtained by Monte-Carlo ray tracing method. Finite element method (FEM) is adopted to solve energy equation using the calculated heat flux distribution as the third boundary condition. The dimensionless temperature distribution comparisons between uniform and non-uniform heat flux distribution boundary conditions, various porosities, and different solar dish concentrator tracking errors are investigated in this research.

Output performance prediction of thermoelectric generators (TEG) is a valuable work for TEG structure optimization (i.e. shape of thermocouple and other electrical or thermal conducting components) and material selection. Considering the basic thermoelectric effects, as well as the thermal resistances between the thermocouple and the heat source, heat sink, this paper describe a physical model with Thomson effect for a simplified thermoelectric module. A new method to solve the temperature of the thermocouple hot and cold conjunctions which directly affect the voltage, current and output power, is proposed. And an experiment test of a commercial Bi2Te3thermoelectric module is undertaken to testify the physical model and the solution method. The study shows that the calculation results are in good accordance with the experiment data, which prove the accuracy of the physical model and the solution method. This paper can provide a novel analytical method for TEG performance prediction.

The present study is concerned about image mosaic in single reflector panoramic imaging system (SRPIS). A nonlinear image mosaic algorithm is proposed to get the panoramic image of pipe inner surface. Because of nonlinear distortion in the images which are unwrapped from the original images, its practically impossible for traditional image mosaic method based on 2D planar projective transformation to eliminate phenomenon of ghost and blur in the seam. Nonlinear image mosaic algorithm is performed by projecting many pieces of image divided from right image onto the left image. The position-variant parameters of transformation model are got by quadratic interpolation. The results show that nonlinear image mosaic algorithm overcomes the limitations of traditional image mosaic method in images with distortion and the mosaic image is clearer than that by traditional image mosaic method.

Compressive strength and AC impedance of mortar made with water-glass-activated slag were investigated as a dependence of modulus (0.5-2.0) and dosage (2-6%) of the water-glass. Results shown that when the dosage of water glass is 2- 4 %, the modulus of the water glass has a little effect on the compressive strength. In the case of the dosage of water glass is beyond 4 %, when modulus of the water glass change from 0.5-1.0, the compressive strength obviously increases with increase of modulus of water glass and when modulus of the water glass change from 1.0-2.0, the modulus of the water glass has a little effect on the compressive strength. The strength increases with increase of the dosage from 2 to 6%. In the case same dosage and modulus, there is a rather good power correlation between the bulk resistance and the activated age. With increase of the dosage, the bulk resistance significantly decreases when the dosage is below 4%. The decreasing degree is small when the dosage is beyond 4%. The decreasing degree derived from the dosage increases with the activated age. The effect of the modulus on the bulk resistance depends on range of the dosage. However, it can be regarded that when the dosage is 4% and 6%, the modulus has small effect on the bulk resistance in the case of all the dosages.

Single Reflector Panoramic Imaging System (SRPIS) has been widely used because of its advantages such as simple structure, fast imaging, integration and miniaturization. It can observe objects around the reflector mirror, which fits for the quality inspection of gun barrel bore. However, its images often suffer from serious distortions in radial and tangential directions. Therefore, to ensure the accuracy of captured images, distortion must be eliminated. In this paper, a distortion correction method is proposed based on the imaging characteristics of SRPIS. Firstly the relationship between the height of a certain point on the gun barrel bore and the radius of image point is derived. Then the correction model is built based on the relationship. Aiming at the captured annular image, a new chessboard corner detection algorithm is proposed. The correction parameters are obtained by using the algorithm according to the labeled image. The real experiment results demonstrate that the correction effects of radial and tangential distortions are satisfactory. The error is controlled at sub-pixel level.

This paper presents a Debris Flow Disaster Faster-than-early Forecast System (DFS) with wireless sensor networks. Debris flows carrying saturated solid materials in water flowing downslope often cause severe damage to the lives and properties in their path. Faster-than-early or faster-than-real-time forecasts are imperative to save lives and reduce damage. This paper presents a novel multi-sensor networks for monitoring debris flows. The main idea is to let these sensors drift with the debris flow, to collect flow information as they move along, and to transmit the collected data to base stations in real time. The Raw data are sent to the cloud processing center from the base station. And the processed data and the video of the debris flow are display on the remote PC. The design of the system address many challenging issues, including cost, deployment efforts, and fast reaction.

In this paper, inspired to the high-speed global search ability for genetic algorithm and the positive feedback mechanism for ant colony algorithm, our energy-efficient scheme, called ACGR, was proposed for routing optimization design, in which the communication messages, treated as ants with limited lifetime, are sent by nodes for searching the optimal routing path. Through the proposed scheme, multiple candidate routing paths could be obtained firstly. Then each candidate path is considered as a gene sequence and through the selection, crossover and mutation operations on them, the optimal energy routing path is determined. Simulation results have shown that the proposed algorithm provides promising solution because it takes into account the energy of each node, and extends the lifetime of the wireless sensor network.

In order to convert the high pressure common rail system engine to CNG/Diesel dual fuel engine, an electronically controlled system is developed. The system includes a CNG fuel supply system, the CNG electronic control unit (ECU) and its matching harness etc. During starting and idle load conditions, the engine runs under pure diesel mode, when the speed and load reached a certain set point, the diesel ECU reduces the pilot diesel quantity, meanwhile, the CNG ECU increases the natural gas quantity, then the engine runs under dual fuel mode. The engine experiment data show that in different conditions, the highest substitution rate is 90% and the average substitution rate is 83%; the average savings ratio of operation cost per hour is 26%.

Polypropylene nanocomposites were prepared by means of melt mixing using attapulgite as inorganic components. The relation between surface free energy and mechanical properties of polypropylene nanocomposites and elasticized mechanism analysis of modified attapulgite nanofibers were mainly studied. The results showed that the modulus, fracture strength, fracture extensibility, tensile strength, yield strength, bend strength, flexural modulus and dynamic ductility properties of nanocomposites all enhanced obviously after modified attapulgite nanofibers were filled up. Surface free energy of attapulgite nanofibers and impact toughness properties of nanocomposites were in approximate inversely-proportion quadratic function relationship, which could provide a new way of thinking in the field of nanocomposites research.

The role of manufacturing has changed from a producer of products and services to one that integrates the whole industry value chain. In this situation, this paper proposed a new-type networked manufacturing mode which is called outsourcing-driven social manufacturing (od-SM) to solve complex manufacturing problems and perform large-scale collaborative manufacturing. First, the framework of od-SM is proposed. Then, some key enabling technologies such as modeling and community structure of outsourcing-driven social manufacturing network (od-SMN) and generation of outsourcing-driven transient machining system (od-TMS) are talked about in detail. Finally, the conclusions and future work are put forward.

The distribution of temperature and NOX concentration field under different crank angle of a CNG direct-injection engine converted from a four-valve gasoline vehicle engine are calculated by the computation model of the CNG direct-injection engine work process using CFD software. The results show that the temperature field spreads around the center of the spark plug in initial combustion period. The position of maximum temperature in combustion chamber moves from the spark plug to the wall and temperature tends to uniform distribution as the piston goes down along with the spread of flame front and the completion reaction after the flame. Temperature distribution is vital to the generation of NOX which changes along with high-temperature zone. The change principle of quantity of NOX in the cylinder is that at first, the quantity continues increasing, then declines, and finally remains stable. Besides this, the generation amount of NOX increase along with the speed.

This paper discusses the parameters tuning of fractional-order controller satisfying the desired gain-margin and phase-margin specifications in terms of a stability equation method applicable to fractional-delay systems. The tuning procedure is then applied to the level control of double water tank, which is modeled as a second-order transfer function with time-delay. The Matlab simulations and the experiments on the water tank device show the effectiveness of the tuning and the benefits of using fractional-order controllers.

In order to enforce explosion energy and mechanical strength of energetic material. we use physics and chemistry property of aluminum fire to improve the performance of energetic material. Before explosion the physics property of mechanical property can reinforce the mechanical strength; when explosion the reaction heat of aluminum can increase the energy of explosive. The air blast experimental results indicated that Al fibre can increase the energy of energetic material.. And the same time mechanical strength experimental results indicated that aluminum can enhance the strength of energetic material.

The process of interaction of sea ice and a pier column structure was studied by using analogue simulation method in the paper, and the dynamic ice force acting on the pier column structure was achieved. Combining with theory analysis, it modified the dynamic ice force model suggested by Croteau. The results showed that the loading stiffness suggested by Croteau is too big to use in the dynamic ice force model and the Withalm formula and simulated results are more suitable. It suggested the calculation formulas of relative displacement in ice force unloading stage and the continuous ice force in ice force continuous stage.

The paper properties such as roughness, gloss, surface wettability and other factors have great influence on the dot reproduction attributes of presswork, and different paper factor has different effect weight on the dot reproduction. The main purpose of this paper is to provide a new method to analyze the influence of paper properties on the dot reproduction. The method is to apply the grey relational analysis to analyze the influence law and the effect weight of paper factors on the dot reproduction during inkjet printing, which could provide theoretical guidance for improving the printability of paper. The grey relational analysis is a multi-factor statistical analysis method, which is based on the sample data and the grey incidence of various factors and is used to describe the strength, size and the order of the relationship between the factors. In this experiment, five types of inkjet printing paper were used to test their printing performance, and then the dot gain data were dealt with by the grey relational analysis method. Results showed that paper properties had a great influence on ink setting. Ink drop diffused and deformed less and dot gain was small when paper had smooth surface. According to the correlation coefficient degree of paper properties which influence on the dot gain of inkjet printing, the sequence was whiteness, roughness, surface wettability and gloss. Whiteness and roughness could significantly influence dot gain, followed by surface wettability, and gloss with minimal impact. Experiment indicated that the grey relational analysis was a simple and effective tool to analyze the influence of paper properties on the dot reproduction of presswork.

The multi condition driving cycle mode of light truck is established. A comprehensive evaluation system for the vehicle powertrain(VP) optimal matching with integration of dynamic performance, fuel economy and exhaust emission behavior by means of the weighting factors is established. The methods to determine the parameters and weighting factors are established. A simulation model is set for the VP using the software Advisor, and a VP optimization program is compiled by the Matlab optimization toolbox. The model is validated by experiment and used to optimize the power train of a certain type of light truck. The results show that the consideration of the dynamic performance, the fuel economy in the VP matching reduces the exhaust emissions effectively.

The non-navigable arch bridges of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge use embedded prefabricated pile foundation. According to the technology difficulties of pre-fabricated abutment and pier lifting construction under marine environment, A kind of suspension system with hoisting and positioning function is put forward and designed, of which the structure and working method were introduced in this paper.

Having designed and achieved a sort of wireless video network system based on 3G TDCDMA, this system is applied to provide users witht function which is online browsing service of real-time natural landscape on the Mt. Everest. By means of erecting the video cameras on the Mt. Everest and 3G network service based on H.264 video coding technique to preview post-coding data via WEB server on the internet. Through the use of 3G network technology and H.264 video coding technology, users are able to get access to the video with higher quality, implementing the function of browsing scenery in scenic.

In allusion to the actual working condition of the articulated steering mechanism of the all-terrain vehicle which is in normal running while steering, the target in this paper is to optimize the positions of link joints on the model structures based on the application and motion state of mathematical modeling on the multi-body kinetic software Recurdyn, analyzing the motion and force of the key joints, and to do the structural adjustment on the optimal positions of two link joints. The optimization results indicate that the revolving speed and force are within the allowed limits and guaranteed that the turn radius would be the maximum and the force would be the minimum within the limits.

Three-dimensional (3D) vision scanning measurement is widely used in industry for its ability to obtain the 3D surface data of the object. Aiming at overcoming the shortcomings of 3D scanning measurement system with single structured-light sensor, such as limited measurement range and blind measurement area, a scanning system based on double structured-light sensors (DSS) is established. The object is scanned from two different directions, and the 3D surface coordinates are unified to the measurement coordinate system to obtain the 3D surface of the measured object. In this paper, the mathematical model of the DSS scanning system is established. Meanwhile, an on-site calibration approach based on planar target is proposed to complete the system calibration task. Finally, experimental results of practical data are given to show the feasibility and validity of the proposed system.

An increasing number of bridges have been built in earthquake zones, alonged with rapid development of high-speed railway. Their seismic behaviors attract researchers’ attention now. The steel shear keys as falling-off prevention measures have been used widely in 32m simply-supported box girder bridges on high-speed railways in China. To allow for transverse temperature movement, the shear keys are placed with a slight gap from the girders. However, out-of-phase vibrations between superstructures and substructures result in nonlinear eccentric pounding between bearing base and steel shear keys if the relative displacements exceed their initial gaps. The aim of this paper is to analyze the effect of eccentric pounding on elasto-plastic behavior of a simply-supported concrete box girder bridge under transverse earthquake, and evaluate the seismic performance of falling-off prevention measures. The effect of cushion block on seismic response has been studied. The results of the study indicate that a bridge column occur plastic deformation and suffer residual displacements due to eccentric pounding, and simple analysis in elastic range may result in nonconservative results. The lateral shear keys play a key role in limiting girder displacements. By setting hardwood blocks between steel shear keys and bearing base, the pounding forces can be appropriately reduced, and the lateral seismic performance of bridge can be effectively improved

This paper presents a mathematical model to simulate the actuation of a multilayer metallic strip. The model computes the radius of curvature of the actuator when it curls because of difference in thermal coefficient of the different metals used in the strip. The mathematical model for simulating the radius of curvature is based on the earlier work by Timoshenko [4], and Jianyu Fu[5]. The radius of curvature computed is used to calculate the voltage to uncurl the actuator. Numerical experiments were performed on the model and the trends were found to be in agreement with the experimental data.

The feature of the gear shaft with Cross wedge rolling technology is high efficiency, low material loss and higher strength of the gear shaft forming. A research model of cross wedge rolling plastic forming adopting tri-dimensional thermal elastic-plastic finite element method is put forward. Forming mold divided into two parts as the wedge-shaped molds and tooth mold is designed. Depending on orthogonal test program, applying Deform-3D to numerical simulate for the gear shaft with cross wedge rolling, the influence of temperature, number of teeth, module and feet rate for gear shaft tooth forming quality is studied. The results are analyzed with the temperature of the workpiece, number of teeth, module and feet rate of the die movement during CWR and the best combination of produce conditions is reached.

Northern Shaanxi is one of the pilot zones for implementating of Grain for Green Project. Monitoring the net primary production (NPP) change before and after the project would help understand the spatial patterns and the accomplishment of the Grain for Green project, and also be propitious to calibrate the projects benefits. Using the improved Carnegie-Ames-Stanford Approach (CASA) modeling, the terrestrial NPP was estimated. Meanwhile, the carbon (C) stock benefits of Grain for Green Project were analyzed through the different land cover types and slope gradients. The results are as follows: (1) There was an apparently increase of average NPP in Northern Shaanxi from 2000 to 2007. Based on the trend analysis, the areas with high NPP growth rate (more than 20%) account for about 75% area of the whole Northern Shaanxi. (2) The C stock increased significantly from 2000 to 2007 in Northern Shaanxi. The total C stock of vegetation was 7169.4 t and the C stock per unit area was 121.2 t Ckm-2a-1. The total C stock of sloping farmland was more than 2000 t, which account for 31.3% of the whole C stock in Northern Shaanxi. (3) The main districts of the Grain for Green Project, such as the sloping farmland, open forest and lands with slope 15° to 35°, gained better C stock benefits than other areas. The results in this study indicated that the Grain for Green project resulted in good C stock benefits.

To evaluate the effect of a converging injector geometry, volumetric flow rate and gallant content on the pressure drop, the velocity and viscosity fields, the governing equations of the steady, incompressible, isothermal, laminar flow of a Power-Law, shear-thinning gel propellant in a converging injector were formulated, discretized and solved. A SIMPLEC numerical algorithm was applied for the solution of the flow field. The results indicate that the mean apparent viscosity decreases with increasing the volumetric flow rate and increasing the gallant content results in an increase in the viscosity. The results indicate also that the convergence angle can produce additional decrease in the mean apparent viscosity of the fluid. The mean apparent viscosity decreases significantly with increasing the convergence angle of the injector, and its value is limited by the Newtonian viscosity η∞. The effect of the convergence angle on the mean apparent viscosity is more significant than the effect of the volumetric flow rate and the gallant content on the mean apparent viscosity. Additional decreasing the viscosity results in increasing the pressure drop with increasing convergence angle. It is important to injector design that the viscosity decreasing and the pressure drop increasing are took into account together.

Prediction of peak particle velocity (PPV) is very complicated due to the number of influencing parameters affecting seism wave propagation. In this paper, artificial neural network (ANN) is implemented to develop a model to predict PPV in a blasting operation. Based on the measured parameters of maximum explosive charge used per delay and distance between blast face to monitoring point, a three-layer ANN was found to be optimum with architecture 2-5-1. Through the analysis of coefficient of determination (CoD) and mean absolute error (MAE) between monitored and predicted values of PPV, it indicates that the forecast data by the ANN model is close to the actua1 values.

The seismic response analysis model of a single-column pier surrounded by sea ice was established and it analyzed the nonlinear seismic response of the pier subject to different types of earthquakes. The results show that the maximum seismic responses of the pier occur when the mass of sea ice is about 5000~10000 ton, which should be used to design a pier. When the sea ice is considered, the curvature ductility demand coefficient，the maximum displacement and the maximum residual displacement of the pier are several times than those corresponding to without sea ice, and the M-Ø hysteretic curves of the cross-section of the pier subject to earthquakes present downfallen ‘S’ form significantly and the deformability and energy dissipation capability of the pier drop remarkably.

Vibration induced by blasting is one of the most hazardous events in the mining industry and may cause structural damage in country areas. Therefore, mitigating the possible hazard and predicting the vibration velocity is important. In this paper, an attempt has been made to predict the peak particle velocity using artificial neural network (ANN) by taking into consideration of maximum explosive charge used per delay and distance between blast face to monitoring point. To achieve the classic framework of this approach, the prediction results by artificial neural network were compared with measured values by coefficient of determination (CoD) and sum of squares due to error (SSE).

Depending on the solar radiant flux and velocity measured in Harbin, with finite element method, use a modified radiant heat flux function to calculate the temperature field of a plate on the focal region of a dish solar concentrator. Compared the result with picture taken by infrared camera, there is a good accordance between them. The temperature field is used as the loading parameters to calculate the thickness’s impact on the thermal stress field in the plate. When the value of the thickness increases, the maximum values of the stress increase, but the overall stress field tend to decrease.

It has designed a set of equipment which could automatically assemble porcelain insulator. And taking UG NX software as a tool, it has done a motion simulation to the whole perfect binding process, at the same time, it also has done advanced simulations and optimum designs to some important parts. Finally, this equipment could overcome the vibrator’s negative impact, and the coaxial tolerance between steel foot, porcelain and iron cap can be guaranteed less thanΦ1.4mm while the porosity adhesives can be guaranteed no more than 3%, and the fitting efficiency could up to 60 pieces an hour.

In order to meet high-volume, low-cost reducer and ensuring quality in the production of reducer, a new design method is necessary. This paper applies the design method of ‘modular’ in high-volume reducer production, preferred numbers and mechanical optimization design thought, then based on access database and VB programming software research modular design process of the volume reducer. Higher degree basic modular parameters of volume reducer are obtained.

For early failure problems, which are broken teeth of the first transmission driving gear in the test, this paper studies the problem in the failure mechanisms such as chemical composition analysis, fracture surface analysis as well as the metallographic structure morphology inspection analysis of failure gear. The results show that the main reasons causing abnormal fracture of the failure gear are the insufficient root shot peening strengthening, the small fillet of the spline groove and the inadequate rim thickness of the rim. This paper uses the finite element method to analyse the contact stress of failure gear and puts forward an improving design method.

The outage probability performance is analyzed for the optimization of incremental selection decode-amplify-forward (ISDF) multi-node MIMO cooperative communication systems. Firstly, the system model for the proposed multi-node MIMO cooperative protocol. Then, the incremental selection decode-amplify-forward and optimal relay selection strategy (routing) based on the opportunistic relaying scheme is proposed. The mutual information and outage probability between source and destination nodes for the proposed scheme are formulated with the relays have the capability of maximum ratio combining (MRC) receiving and beam-forming transmitting capabilities. Finally, adaptive strategy is proposed for adaptive optimal power allocation (APA). Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the proposed APA outperforms traditional equal power allocation (EPA) in outage performance.

In general, filling velocity of indirect squeeze casting mainly causes gas wrapping and slag inclusion, and it influences quality of casting parts directly. In this paper, filling velocity was researched on by Procast, moreover, models of casting parts and die were modeled. Furthermore, filling of a kind of panel was simulated, and the simulation results were analyzed. In conclusion, the best filling effect can be gotten, when the velocity v is equal to filling time t. As a result, it could offer better casting parameters for similar casting parts in squeeze casting.
