Based on the analysis of indirect air cooling system, a numerical simulation model of indirect air cooling system was constructed by ANSYS software. According to the different wind speed condition, the temperature characteristic of indirect air cooling system was analyzed. The simulation results show that with the increase of wind speed, the ventilation and heat release of the indirect air cooling system change greatly. It provides a theoretical basis for the design of the wind-proof device of indirect air cooling system.

High Voltage Direct Current Transmission (HVDC), known as a future energy "highway", plays a key role in the history of electric power system development. In this paper, the present status and future prospect of HVDC convertor valves cooling system in china is analyzed. The performance of HVDC convertor valve cooling system is affected by dry, high temperature, cool weather and sand. Air cooling system is referred to be the most suitable outside cooling system of convertor valve in water scarce areas due to its many advantages such as the antifreezing ability, sand prevention and zero emission of sewage. A hybrid cooling system for cool storage system combined with air cooling system was presented. The experimental result shows this system can be used in desert area like Hami area etc.

The geographical contradictions between plenty of water and high solar radiation constitute are hindering the development of concentrated solar power (CSP) plants, dry cooling systems are compelled to adopt to solve the contradictions for the CSP plants. This paper analysis the feasibility of a novel indirect air cooling with compound refrigerating cycle (CRC-IAC) system used in CSP plants. The solar field and power block in the analysis are modeled using NREL’s Solar Advisor Model (SAM), excluding heat rejection system. Thermodynamic simulations and optimizations for operation exhaust pressure with the changes of ambient dry-bulb temperature are presented. The ideal cycle performance for CRC-IAC system is evaluated and quantified. Moreover, the system was compared with circulating wet cooling (CWC) and air cooling condenser (ACC) in terms of electricity generation and levelized electricity cost (LEC). The results show that the LEC of CRC-IAC is increased by 6.44% and reduced by 5.38%.

The fan bridge is the important supporting structure in the air cooling system, is mainly influenced by the fan vibration. By using ANASYS soft ware, analyzing the two different structures of Fan Bridges harmonic response, and comparing them, the conclusion is that the style that Bearing skew support is connected with the upper chord member say truss structure can effectively reduce the adverse effects of equipment vibration on the structure.

Discussed the use and application prospects of the solar simulator, we design a complete solar simulator experiment platform, the simulator contain the optical system, air-cooled system, the mechanical structure and control system. The significance of this paper is to propose a new method for the design of the steady-state solar simulator, which is able to complete a seamless connection with a lot of laboratory equipment and has played an active meaning for the development of the application of solar energy industry .

The indirect air-cooling system is usually optimized for minimum annual cost. Domestic designing departments take different views on incremental power generation method and coal consumption method in calculation of operating cost. This paper analyzed the two different methods by using the optimization software of indirect air-cooling system, and modified the main parameters of indirect air-cooling system in practical engineering. In this paper, annual cost is in 10 thousand Yuan.

Condensate pipe vibration in the air cooling system was analyzed. The flow pattern discrimination parameters were obtained through carrying out the iterative calculation on the continuity equation and flow equation. It was proposed to use the flow analysis method to determine pipe diameter and arrangement in the design, and to use the static and dynamic analysis methods to determine pipe support settings. These analysis methods are effective to actual engineering design proved by an example. Finally this paper puts forward the improvement measures to prevent condensate pipe vibration.
