ABS/CaCO3 nanocomposite with super toughness was processed by pressure induced flow (PIF) moulding. After PIF processing, the impact toughness of ABS/CaCO3 nanocomposite improved remarkably, the average highest Izod impact strength of nanocomposite increased to around 69 kJ/m2, which was 2.3 times higher than that of orignal ABS. Moreover, the relative toughening mechanism was investigated. The disk-like rubber domain and the cavities caused by calcium carbonate were researched by small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS). The synergy of them could prevent the craze becoming a large crack effectively.

To reduce costs and obtain excellent performance, acrylic modified lignin sulfonate instead of butyl methacrylate stearyl methacrylate was prepared to oil absorption resin. And 1, 4-butylene glycol dimethacrylate as a crosslinking agent, 2,2’-azo-bis-(2-methylpropionitrile) as the initiator, with butyl acrylate to product the high lignin oil-absorbing resin, selected the best scheme for preparing by the orthogonal method, and the different concentrations of lignin and the best resin properties determined by SEM and its oil absorption test. Experimental results show that the resin has the high oil absorption properties,the maximum absorption of 20 times, and the suction speed is fast that 90min to reach saturation; It also has other characteristics,such as inexpensive cost, lightweight, easy recycling and disposal, reusable and so on.

Diabetes mellitus, following cancer and cardiovascular disease, become one of the most serious diseases that threat to human health. The treatment of diabetes is imminent for the health of people. Thus, the developments of efficient insulin administration exhibit great practical significance. The glucose-responsive insulin delivery system (GRIDS) is developing rapidly which is expected to be a promising therapy approach to replace the frequent insulin injection administration. A novel glucose-responsive nanogel was conveniently prepared through one-pot copolymerization of pentaerythritol tetra (3-mercaptopropionate), poly (ethylene glycol) diacrylate, methoxyl poly (ethylene glycol) acrylate and N-acryloyl-3-aminophenylboronic acid. The successful incorporation of phenylboronic acid (PBA) in the nanogel endowed the nanogel high glucose sensitivity in phosphate buffer saline (PBS). Therefore, the PBA incorporated nanogel with high glucose-responsiveness and good biocompatibility may have great potential for self-regulated drug release

In situ chemical oxidation with persulfate (PS) anion (S2O82-) is a viable technique for remediation of groundwater contaminants such as trichloroethylene (TCE). This laboratory study investigated the use of the oxidant sodium PS for the chemical oxidation of TCE at different conditions to determine the influence of temperature, pH, and the PS/TCE molar ratio. Experiments revealed that higher temperatures, lower pH, and higher PS/TCE molar ratios were to the benefit of TCE oxidation by PS. By investigating the reaction kinetics, the degradations of contaminant can be described by use of pseudo-first-order reaction. At the temperatures ranging from 25°C to 40°C, the activation energy for the degradation of TCE was determined to be 85.04 KJ/mol.

The patterned magnetic composite microspheres with Fe3O4as core and styrene polymer as shell have been prepared by emulsion polymerization, while the size of microspheres is about 150-200nm. The composite microspheres were characterized by FT-IR, TEM, and TG et al. The measurement results showed that: the magnetic composites were orderly arranged to form a straight line, rhombus, triangle, five-rings-shaped, plum-shaped, six-membered ring geometry by own magnetic action. The structure of microspheres was spherical, the size was uniform and performance is stable.

Pure anatase, pure rutile and the mixed TiO2 crystals with different amounts of rutile and anatase were prepared by a hydrothermal method using Ti (OBu)4 as starting material. The effect of anions on crystal phase and morphology of TiO2 synthesized by the hydrothermal method was investigated, and the relevant mechanism was also discussed. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) results indicate that Cl- ion was in favor of the formation of rutile, while NO3- and CH3COO- were beneficial for the formation of anatase. The hydrothermal conditions have significant effects on the phase component, morphology, and particle size of obtained titania products. Additionally, mixed TiO2 crystals with different amounts of rutile and anatase could be prepared by adjusting the reaction conditions, such as the concentration of Cl- ion, hydrothermal time, the amount of citric acid and the concentration of tetrabutyl titanate.

Description is given to preparation of three ionic liquid surfactants containing amine functional groups, characterization of their functional groups using the infrared spectrometer, determination of their surface tension and the oil displacement test in this paper to investigate the effect of alkane branch chains with different carbon numbers on the surface tension and the displacement efficiency. The result shows that, the surfactants exhibit the structural characteristic of the ionic liquid as the characteristic absorption peaks occur on C-N and C-H of the imidazole rings at the wave numbers of 1338cm-1, 1234cm-1, 1465cm-1 and 3142cm-1, respectively. The surface tension isothermal curves and the oil displacement test proved that the ionic liquid imidazole surfactants with shorter-chain groups are more active on surface, with the minimal surface tension up to 32.5 mN/m, and led to higher displacement efficiency, increasing by 3.3% at the concentration of 1000mg/L compared with the water flooding.

The mono-disperse magnetic cross-linked composite micro-spheres containing carboxyl groups have been prepared by an improving method of emulsion polymerization in this paper. Firstly, Fe3O4magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized by co-precipitation, and the Fe3O4magnetic nanoparticles were modified by oleic acid. Secondly, DVB as cross-linker, SDBS as emulsifier and AIBN as initiator, the mono-disperse magnetic cross-linked composite micro-spheres were obtained in aqueous, and consisted of the copolymer of styrene and acrylic acid as shell and the Fe3O4magnetic nanoparticles as core. The magnetic cross-linked micro-spheres would be the rudiment of the magnetic nanonetwork, and be expected to apply a great deal of fields in the future.

Through flotation recovery of Silver (Ag) from Zinc acid-leaching residue (ZALR) was investigated in this study. The study adopted the single factor and orthogonal test reveal interactions among all considerable influence factors including sodium sulphide (SS) as regulator, ammonium butyl dithiophosphate (ABD) as major collector, GC as minor collector, interaction between ABD and GC, OC as flotation carrier, and pulp density. The experimental results show the flotation of the circuit composited of one rougher, one cleaner, one scavenger and middlings being back to the next rough flotation together is practical way and that the concentrate containing Ag 10890.0g/t, recovery77.43% can be obtained from the residue (Ag grade 340g/t). The optimum roughing flotation process is: the pH value of flotation pulp is 3.0~4.0, the pulp density is about 45wt.%, ABD dosage is 900g/t, GC dosage is 50g/t, OC dosage is 2000g/t, and BK201 dosage is 100g/t.

Cellulose/Ag/polyaniline conductive composite with rather excellent electrical conductivity was heterogeneously synthesized in this paper. The UV-Vis analysis indicated that homogeneous nanoAg particles deposited on the surface of cellulose in the form of globe particles. They offered some electrons to polyaniline chains. This behavior resulted to the facts that more polyaniline embedded on cellulose and an integrated electrically conductive network formed. Consequently, the high electrical conductivity of the composite was observed. The value was 3.48 S/cm, which was higher two magnitudes than the electrical conductivity of cellulose/polyaniline composite (2.15×10-2S/cm), and even was higher than the electrical conductivity of pure polyaniline (0.142 S/cm). This paper provided a facile method for the preparation of cellulose/Ag/ polyaniline composite with favorable electrical conductivity.

Admixture mineral has been replaced part of cement in high performance concrete to improve the durability and sulfate resistance of the concrete.In this paper,the compressive strength of the concretes with adimixture mineral and without admixture mineral had respectively measured after 28ds’ standard curing.Then the concretes had been immersing in NaSO4 solution and MgSO4 solution.The compressive strength of the concrete with admixture mineral and without admixture mineral has been measured after 28ds’and 56ds’ immersing in NaSO4 solution and MgSO4 solution. The concrete with admixture mineral had been eroded lower than the one without admixture mineral after 28 days and 56 days.

A subbitumious coal from Erdos, Inner Mongolia, China, was extracted with isometric carbon disulfide/tetrahydrofuran (CS2/THF) mixed solvent. The components and structure features of CS2/THF soluble factions were analyzed by FTIR and GC/MS. The results show that the total extract yield was 6.6% after five extractions with fresh mixed solvent. And the mass fraction of the first extract was biggest which the 68% amount of the total extracts was. The FTIR spectra of the extracts had abundance functional group information, which can fully indicate that the extracts contain aliphatic compounds, aromatic compounds and heteroatom-containing compounds. Only the first extract can be detected by GC/MS among the five extracts and seven compounds were detected by GC/MS clearly and they are aromatic compounds, in which the three larger relative abundance compounds are retene, 7-butyl-1-hexylnaphthalene and 7-isopropyl-1,1-dimethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro- phenanthrene.

The ZnO particles with mesoporous and lamellar structure were synthesized in the method of precipitation, using zinc acetate as precursor. The ZnO particles were characterized by the means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and N2 adsorption–desorption measurements. The photoactivity of as-prepared ZnO particles was evaluated by degradation experiment of methyl orange aqueous solution. The results showed the obtained ZnO particles were irregular polygons with lamellar structure, and the particle size was in the range of 50 nm to 300 nm. According to XRD and N2 absorption results, ZnO particles were pure and integrated crystals with high crystallinity, and adsorption-desorption isotherms correspond to the typical type IV isotherm with a hysteresis loop of type H3, which showed ZnO particles had mesoporous structure with slit pore shape. The ZnO particles had high photocatalytic activity, the maximum degradation rate of methyl orange aqueous solution can reach 99%. When reused for the fifth time, the photocatalytic activity of ZnO particles was similar with the fresh ones, and recycled for the tenth time, the degradation rate of methyl orange aqueous solution still standed by 84.7%.

The TiO2 particles were synthesized in the solvothermal method, and they were characterized by the means of scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis and differential thermal analysis (TG-DTA) and the N2 adsorption–desorption measurement. The photocatalytic property of as-prepared TiO2 particles was evaluated by the degradation experiment of methyl orange aqueous solution. Results indicated that TiO2 nanoparticles were the combination of anatase-TiO2 and rutile-TiO2 crystals with integrated crystals form and high crystallinity, which may be helpful for stabilizing the anatase and improving the photocatalytic activity. The adsorption-desorption isotherms was the typical type IV isotherm with a clear H2-type hysteresis loops in the desorption branch. The results showed mesoporous TiO2 particles had the average pore diameter of 3.587 nm, the average specific surface areas of 270.342 m2/g, and the average pore volume of 0.259 cm3/g. Meantime, the as-prepared TiO2 particles had good thermal stability and high photocatalytic activity, when being irradiated for 120 min, the degradation rate of the methyl orange aqueous solution could be up to 98.27%.

In this paper, flocculation process was applied to the treatment of potato starch wastewater. The Influence of flocculent types, dosage of flocculants, pH, dosage of coagulant aid polyacrylamide (PAM) and sedimentation time on flocculation efficiency was studied, and principal factors of influence flocculation pretreatment of potato starch wastewater and the optimum flocculation conditions were determined by orthogonal experiment. On the optimum conditions which had the advantage of better treatment efficiency with chemical oxygen demand (COD) removal rate of 40.55% , the suitable pH(7) in favour of the following biological treatment, high yield of sludge of 1.59g/L wastewater which could be used as animal feed or fertilizer and increase economic benefits.

Waterborne polyurethane waterproofing composite has been prepared using polyurethane emulsion, cement, sand, and distilled water as raw materials, respectively. The compression performance of the samples has been determined by tensile testing machine. The microstructure of the samples has been observed by metallographic microscope. At the same time, the water resisting property of samples has been presented. The result shows that the surface of samples becomes the more smoothing with the increase ratio of cement to sand. The best compressive strength and water resisting property have been obtained when the weight of polyurethane emulsion to distilled water was 1:5 and the ratio of sand to cement was 2.1:1.
