The book "Mutations. Information and study habits of young people in Argentine universities" is the result of research conducted by Dr. Francisco Albarello and his team on how Communication and Journalism university students inform themselves and study. The book describes the news consumption routines and the use of different media by students. Interviews and surveys were conducted with students from different Argentine universities. The results show that the majority of students connect to the internet through a computer and mainly use Wi-Fi. Social media is the main source of news for students, followed by news websites and news apps. An increase in the consumption of podcasts and newsletters is also observed as students progress in their studies. During the pandemic, changes in teaching and learning methods occurred, such as the use of virtual platforms and collaborative work. Students prefer reading on screens, but still write their notes on paper. The book can be useful for both media companies and universities seeking to understand the changes in the informational and educational ecosystem. [Extracted from the article]
