The article compares the two methods, and discusses their differences in terms of resistive pressure drop. Topics include the use of Dynamic, and Static methods to estimate the transpulmonary pressure; that higher resistive pressure drops lead to more negative alveolar pressures; and that absolute thresholds of driving pressures cannot be directly translated from static to dynamic conditions.
