The article comments on a paper by Ronald Lindsay concerning his evaluation of the Oregon Death with Dignity Act. According to the author, principle-based ethics becomes the cognitive sanitation of anxiety provoking situations and a means to side-step moral imperative to examine the deeper moral ends of actions. He also examines his role in physician-assisted dying through a wider moral lens that provided by deontology.
