This article talks about stowaways being found dead on the wheel well of airplanes. On January 28, 2007, a pilot from British Airways found the corpse of an African youth during a routine pre-flight check before departing Los Angeles. On another instance, a body was discovered in the landing gear of an SN Brussels airplane upon its arrival from Africa. Extreme cold and lack of oxygen in the wheel wells make the odds of survival slim and long flights add severe hypothermia to acute hypoxia and hypobaria.
