This paper presented the work done on the adsorption isotherm study in the removal of As (V) from aqueous solution using the Schwertmannite synthesized by the neutralization method. Adsorption experiments were studied to investigate the effect of adsorbent dosage on the adsorption capacity. The equilibrium data were evaluated by the Langmuir and Freundlich models of adsorption. The removal of As (V) by Schwertmannite follows the Langmuir isotherm model which fits well with the experimental data (R2=0.948), with maximum removal of As (V) to be 38.5 mg/g of adsorbate per unit mass of adsorbent at 25 °C. The maximum percentage of As (V) removal was found to be above 98% at a dosage value between 0.08-0.10 g/L. The higher percentage As (V) removal at higher dosage value of Schwertmannite could be due to an increased active sites for the adsorption of As(V) with an increased amount of adsorbent dosage as also showed Langmuir isotherm model.
