Geometry is one of the crucial materials for students to learn in everyday life both related to lines, angles, planes, congruences, and polyhedrons. However, previous studies show that students experience obstacles to learning geometry. One of the contributing factors is geometry learning media which is still rarely developed. This study aims to design a mathematics learning media with the topic of the pyramid volume concept that meets the valid category. The research method of this research is the Plomp development method with three stages, namely 1) the preliminary research phase, 2) the development or prototyping phase, and 3) the assessment phase. The subjects of this study were 30 junior high school students who were receiving lessons on the pyramid and cube volume concept. The results showed that a learning media named Hanging Scale to find the concept of pyramid volume had been successfully designed. The learning media designed are tested for validity to ensure the quality of the media. The validity test used was an expert judgment involving expert lecturers in the field of mathematics education and mathematics media. The validity test is used to test the quality of the media developed in terms of whether it is valid or not for use in classroom learning. Validity testing is carried out before the media is used for further research. If expert experts state that the media is "valid", then the media can be used for further research.
