A Scissor jack also called Hydraulic jack is a device used for tire changing. Presently Scissor jacks are commonly employed in Light Motor Vehicles (LMV) for tire changing application and are normally operated by manual power. The Scissor jack consists of a power screw, which transform rotary motion into translator motion, for lifting the vehicle. The working principle of scissor jack is like to that of an inclined plane. Normally inclined planes used to move heavier loads over vertical plane. The main advantage of a scissor jack is that the ratio of the load applied to the effort applied requires only minimum force. The proposed system employs a lead screw, which in turn operates the scissor jack to the required height. The lead screw can be driven manually or with the aid of an electric motor. The electric motor integrated with ESP8266 Wi-Fi development board and two-channel relay. The motor will then be incorporated with the scissor jack. The energy necessary for the motor operation will be drawn from the vehicle's battery, and the operation of the mechanical jack will be controlled by a smart phone using Internet of Things (IOT). This may reduce the effort of women and handicapped people for changing the wheels. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
